Rereading Palin's interview with Couric, it was interesting to note that she acknowledged that global warming was real, and that she would not condone dismantling Roe vs Wade.

I wonder if she still feels this way, and if she would ever say so at a Tea Party.

This is NOT really about Palin herself, for me!

This "IS" about HONESTY and allowing FACTS to be FACTS, and not allowing PERSONAL BIAS to lead minds and hearts, about issues!

Much of our problems, have always been, allowing OPINIONS to over-rule FACTS!

THAT IS WRONG and POTENTIALLY DESTRUCTIVE BEHAVIOR!!!

It is the same attitudes that tell people...

1) Homosexuals shouldn't adopt or be teachers, because they are more likely to be child molestors!

2) Jews kill babies in ritualistic sacrifices (Middle Ages)

3) Christians drink blood, like vampires.


ALL the above positions, were commonly held at one time, before society changed it's view, after being more educated on these matters.

None of them are "commonly" believed today.

You have to have a good degree of intelligence, to go up the ranks from Councilwoman to Governor, and then have the highest approval rating of ANY Governor in the ENTIRE COUNTRY.

Since the election, she has written TWO BOOKS, became a CONTRIBUTOR on one cable show, then parlayed that into being a HOST of her own cable show, then became a CO-CREATOR and DEVELOPER of HER OWN SHOW!!

#1 - "The FACT is, that she offers nothing in her rants, nothing that could move us in better directions. She is solely AGAINST the current administration."

#3 - "The FACT is, that she HAS tried to belittle our pres for his name, & questioned his place of birth long after that question was answered in the press."

#4 - "The FACT is, that she spouts hatred, & not anything remotely positive, other than to stroke the patriotism in her immediate audience with the usual catch-phrases."

#5 - "I also think she's un-American, in that she tries to convince us that we don't want what we vote for, while she tries to rile ppl up to the point of rioting with her anti-administration rhetoric & name-calling."

Bonus examples include her Couric interview, & the way that "she dismisses her opposition in off-hand ways, preferring to use insult & innuendo to turn ppl against her opponents rather than to use facts & figures, or any alternative to her opponent's position."

YOU would probably call these tactics "brilliant," since they come from her (well, & the fact that you also use insult & innuendo when you're not winning your argument). I call them disruptive & counterproductive tactics in any setting. She's nothing but a distraction in our process at the moment, Craig, &, to me, that makes her a dingbat of the 1st degree, along the lines of those other fine entertainers, Limbaugh & Beck..

I still don't want her to work for me. I still firmly believe that she's just an asshole who wants to spoil things in the name of her party, & ONLY for her party. You can argue that the interview with Couric revealed something about Palin's qualifications as President. You could argue it revealed she was either unknowledgeable or unprepared for some of the questions... but... NOT that she is a dingbat.
