Interesting.

I know from our other discussions that there are MANY people on here, who will never use Bank of America again!

I have been a Bank of America customer ever since they bought out LaSalle Bank. I've never had a problem with them, I like how all of my accounts are visible from one interface. Bill pay works good, and the employees are courteous when I do have to go there.

Clearly, that hasn't been everyone's experience. Image

I think you are just more RESPONSIBLE than many people, so that you are on their "A" list.

LOL

I don't like how they treated me as a customer, but alot of it was MY FAULT, because of overdrawn accounts, etc...

Never tried Cash4Gold. I'm sure if I was into burglary then I would hock the goods to them.

Comcast IS a little high for cable.

B of A has always been good to me though. I would think that Chase would have been on that list instead.

I've been down on banks for over 30 years.

There was a local one that would randomly assign thier fees. There seemed to be no rhyme or reason for when they would charge my account, it could be in the last week of the month, or the first.

It became obvious what thier reasons were, when I got hit with, not one or two, but TWELVE overdraft fees, when one of my deposits was held an extra day, but thier service charge was applied on the 8th of that month!

Of course I complained, but nothing was done. I got my money back, though I won't tell you how, cuz it's kinda embarassing, but I was PO'd!

When banks started charging for a biz making DEPOSITS, & when they started charging ppl to cash checks from thier coffers if they had no account there, I went to a credit union. It's clear to me that these outfits are being paid twice for the same service - they charge the customer a service charge, then they charge the payee for transferring the cash in thier lobby. Imho, that's gouging & opportunistic BS.

I'll never "bank" again, & if you pay me with a check, I'll charge you an extra $5 to cover the "cashing fee."

Don't you love that?

That should be ILLEGAL!!!

Charging a fee to redeem the bank customer's own payment by THEIR check!

It is almost like FORCING you to maintain a bank account!

Yep. Screw 'em!

My wife's grandmother wrote me a check & they demanded my thumb print for me to cash it, too, after they told me there'd be a fee. I signed the check over to her, & let HER cash it!

To hell with banks!

Thier job is to transfer payments. They're paid by the account-holders. To charge yet again is an insult to the account-holder, imo, AND the payee, since they've already been paid for thier services.

I went into B of A last Friday to cash a large check $4,000. They told me I would have to come back in two business days because they had to ORDER the money. It was a B of A check. They didn't have that much cash they said. I stood there with my mouth hanging open in disbelief. Is $4,000 a lot of cash for a major bank?

You too!!?? Holy crap I'd love to see them go under and never come back! Actually...were you one of the people that they tried to hit with the unnecessary home owner's insurance? They bought my mortage from First National, but were so lazy about it, they never got all of the information. So they tried to force me to get insurance that I already had for nearly 100 times the price! Recently a lawyer sent a form in the mail as a class action suit against them. This whole fraud deal was even on Good Morning America! I had to jump through hoops for them and they were trying to ROB ME!

Don't even get me started about how they do illegal sh*t with credit cards as well...

My experience with bank of america was HORRIBLE THEY ARE ASSHOLES!
Some of the things you thought were your fault may not have been Craig!

I was self employed and ran alot of money through that bank and trust me when I say they do all sorts of things to cause your account to become overdrawn.

I had accounts with them for years and had checks coming from customers that were regular and I would deposit their checks. One day I went to deposit a check from a customer. It was the third check from them, while standing there waiting for my receipt out of the blue the lady say's there is going to be a 15 day hold on this check. I told her that I have run those checks through before with no problems anyway I had auto withdrawals coming out and needed that check credited to my account. They knew that would cause my account to be overdrawn. So I told the lady to give me the check back and I went DIRECTLY to the bank I have now been with since then and opened a new account. Sure enough my account at BOM went overdrawn and them dumb*sses called me wanting money and I told them I am in the drivers seat this time I covered everything accept the outrageous over draft fee's and told them to KISS MY ASS! So if it makes anyone feel any better I stuck it to those assholes!

Comcast isn't any better they keep taking away our channels wanting us to upgrade to a more expensive package they had better watch their p's and q's or I will promptly give them the same treatment as I gave the assholes at BOM.
