Hey! I got approval for the little insurance job, too! I'll get to eat next week, after all!

Also got a call from some bar in Hagerstown I've never been to. Seems there's a buncha ppl asking for my solo work, there, but the person I talked to didn't have a single name that referred me that I could recognise. Oh well, I'll be talking to her again tomorrow, cuz I still gotta set up a PA to use, but it pays well, so I guess if I do enough of these, I'll be able to afford another PA, soon.

By the way Philby, I just posted about 20 new shots to the Flickr page, mostly recent spring blooms around here.

No time right now but I'll try and get together some good photo tips for you pretty soon. These are all taken with a Samsung 7.2 megapixel digital point n shoot. But again remember, I probably took 30-40 shots to get each good one. Very little editing done, some cropping and a little color enhancement, that's it. Getting these tiny 1/4" flowers to focus is not easy, the camera wants to focus on the ground instead of the small flower. Even in Macro mode. Sometimes I have to fool it by focusing on my finger beside the flower then move the finger out of the picture.

I've been using an Olympus SP-560-UZ, for what it's worth. I just figgered out how to zoom (cuz I'm a stoopit luddite!), so I hope to get better pics in the future as I play & learn.

It's raining today, so I prolly won't get to shoot much of anything, though I will prolly go check out the scrotal-lookin' pink ladyslippers to see if they're up yet.

I also need to get me some more ramps. I got a bunch yesterday, but I gave them to a friend who's a damned good cook & caterer, but never even saw one before. Hope he likes 'em!
