No, Rycky is actually a victim, of a somewhat common, mental disorder.

Symptoms include being a "self-loather".

He likely despises Texas, because he was born there, and hence, it is a way to eliminate his own birth, his own existence, by detesting the origin of it. Strangely enough, it is actually a form of motivational efficacy, although psychologists see self-loathing as the least effective method of motivation, compared with similar psychological disorders, which also involve a deluded sense of self-help.

The good news, is that with some counseling and moderate anti-psychotic drugs, temporary alleviation of the symptoms of this disorder have been achieved. But unfortunately, the rate of recidivism is quite high, and within a relatively brief period of time, the offending behaviors return, in full force.

After listening to a little of the Presidents speech in Florida about the future of our nations space program. I am a little concerned and releived at the same time. You see this topic affects me directly I have worked around and for people that support and fly into space. As a Houstonian I am also concerned at our Presidents lack of concern and apparent dissemination of our local economy. Being a conservative I must say IMO our President is very intelligent he knows exactly what he is doing (very methodical) I am thinking that he either has it in for Texas because the former Pres. is from here and he beleives we have already been shown enough favoritism. Or he is dismissing us as a bunch of backwoods hicks who's opinion doesn't matter. THAT'LL GET HIM A LOT OF VOTES COME 2012. NOT!
Now let the hating on Texas continue!

When I first read some of the headlines... "President Unveils Bold Vision For The Space Program" etc... Well, they sounded good! I thought... "Hey, maybe I was wrong? Maybe he is not cutting their budget after all?"

Then I found other headlines, like... "Astronauts Oppose President's Plans for NASA" and... "President's New Space Vehicle, Incapable Of Carrying Payloads to Space Station" and... "President's Plans for Space Program will Result In U.S. Losing Leadership in Space"

So, maybe once again...

The President's masterful rhetoric is stronger than any tangible results?

That's what concerns me.
