WHY DO I EVEN CARE ABOUT THIS?

Why should adultery matter?

Why should broken families matter?

Why is it EVERYONE'S business when marriages are needlessly ruined?

HERE ARE SOME REASONS:

Children from single-parent families account for:

63 percent of all youth suicides

70 percent of all teenage pregnancies

71 percent of adolescent chemical/substance abuse

80 percent of all prison inmates

90 percent of all homeless and runaway children

(Source: Index of Leading Cultural Indicators)

Children from fatherless homes are:

4.6 times more likely to commit suicide

6.6 times more likely to become teenage mothers

24.3 times more likely to run away

15.3 times more likely to have behavioral disorders

6.3 times more likely to be in state-operated institutions

10.8 times more likely to commit rape

6.6 times more likely to drop out of school

73% of adolescent murderers come from mother only homes

----

Maybe adultery and broken marriages, are bigger issues than "some" would like to believe?

It must be quite a burden to know all the answers to all the
questions and problems of the world.

To be able to see in depth and detail, the big picture and the solution.

Imagine knowing all the statistics and mineutia of every subject
known to man.

Imagine being able to counsel all men and women on every given subject.

A person with these powers would be almost God like.

He would be looked up to and praised.

But, some may view him as having a God like syndrome.

WAIT,

Imagine there's no Heaven
It isn't hard to do
No hell below us
Above us only sky

Please don't correct any mispelled words, I like them like that.

I am not condoning anyone's bad conduct, Craig, you fool. Quit reading into what I've said here.

I'm saying that by getting the media involved, you show kids that "heroes" can get as many women as they want, for one thing.

For another, you are showing that it's perfectly alright to delve deeply into anyone's life. Forget privacy, cuz if you aren't doing anything wrong, we should all be able to dig deep into your past & present & see for ourselves if you are a person of moral character, cuz we should all have that right to judge our fellow man by our own standards. This encourages some of the very worst attributes in the self-righteous twits like yourself, Craig.

Also, the women involved are speaking out like they are the victims, & ppl buy into it. How stupid! But this is also good for society, isn't it, Craig? Let us all celebrate the stupidity of these beauties, & forget that they knew he was married when they took up with him. Oh, the poor dear dozens of assholes who were willing to break up someone else's marriage in the hope of getting him themselves, so they could live the good life off of his work. F*ckin' gold-diggin' harpies! Yeah, they'll get thier 15 minutes at his expense, too, & others will be encouraged to emulate thier actions. You can't see anything but the trees.

Whether or not this was turned into the big media circus it has become, chances are that this marriage would end in divorce. I think that the chance of saving this marriage is far less, though, after the media frenzy, because the woman will certainly look very foolish to many if she agrees to try to work things out. So your argument about the effects of "broken homes" works both ways in this.

Save your armchair rulings of the character of others until after god has made his assessments, Craig, to see if you're either right, & more perfect than the offender, or wrong, & just another nosy busybody self-righteous asshole, like you appear to so many of us every time you talk about ppl.

Does Mrs Woods have no responsibility here? Did she not choose to be with this guy? Did she not miss the signs that he was less than perfect "in Craiggy's eyes?" Shouldn't she have perhaps taken more time to get to know the man before rushing in to her marriage? Did she not make a stupid mistake in her choice of men? Considering the vast numbers of ppl involved, I find it hard to believe that there weren't indicators throughout her relationship that should have warned her off, both for her own good & the good of her children. Quit being so stupid that all you can see is the trees, Craig, in your oh so pious perfection.

Let's face it - there are many factors at work in youth suicide, teenage pregnancies, drug use, criminal behavior, etc etc etc. You can make statistics say just about anything you want to, Craig, but that doesn't mean I have to buy into your conclusions. It ain't all the man's fault, so climb down off your feminist horse & look at the bigger picture.

You can make lots of ppl the demons in this little drama, but for me, the worst of all is those ppl that sit on thier fat asses & judge everything by that which is shown in the "news," or look at everything through a veil of bigotry & hypocrisy politely labelled as "feminism" or "christianity."

'Twas his corporate sponsors who wanted him painted as the ultimate family man, btw. It obviously didn't accurately depict who & what he is, but I'd say that can be said for a lot of ppl who have certain public personnas. Look at our elected officials, if you want to see REAL hypocrisy, Craig. THEY shout out about "family values" all the time. Tiger did not. You hold such high standards for ppl that I can't help but laugh. The little rant that Payne made looks absolutely foolish to me, & shows me that he, too, is merely another asshole busybody sticking his nose where it doesn't belong. Can no one keep thier opinions to themselves?

You've told me before about how many christians make that huge mistake of putting the rule of law above the rule of love. Take your head out of your ass & listen to your very own words. The way you have behaved, for as long as I've known you, proves that you have no leg to stand on, & certainly no right to judge anyone for anything they may do, even though you seem to think that your sins are so much friendlier than those of everyone else. You've become a caricacture of the typical finger-pointing asshole christian, once again, by your own cartoonish & stereotypical behaviors. Get over yourself already! You have proven yet again that you ain't even a bag of chips, let alone "all that." Quit being the very worst that christianity has to offer us, & act like that person you claim to be, oh most knowledgeable one.

I don't get why anyone is so worked up about this.

It's hard enough to live your own life in a virtuous way; it's difficult enough keeping your own house in order.

Every day I think: How can I be a better man today? What can I do to be the best person I can be?

It's a tall order.

I have no time to sit in judgment of Tiger Woods. I don't agree with how he conducts his life, but it's his life to lead.

Mine is challenging enough.

If more people had your values, there would be far less broken families in the world, which would then result in far smaller numbers of the bad statistics I posted.

It is a sorrowful mistake, to believe that what happens at HOME, does not affect the family, community, and ultimately the entire nation. Everything is related... one thing affects another... even the seemingly smallest things.

Kudos to you Colors, for making a conscious effort to become a better person... which makes you a better partner, family member, neighbor and citizen.

My only wish, is that more would do the same.

LMAO!

That was funny, but...

I am just a child of God, a philosopher, and a seeker, Klugmo.

I "DO" have alot of answers... particularly about the origin and meaning of life, because I have SOUGHT out deeper undrstanding of them, all my life... that's all.

Dressing a Deer? I would ask Phil, cause I've never carved up a deer. :-)

Computer programming? Jimmy would be my idol for that. I can design my own websites from scratch with HTML... but that's about it.

Jimmy would know more about the science behind evolution, I would imagine too! I have only skimmed it's surface.

I have a little bit of knowledge in a great many things... but in depth knowledge? It would be in philosophical pursuits, and spiritual pursuits.

Those are the things I have pursued most, throughout my life.

And btw... When Jimmy or Phil start threads on things I know little about... I don't comment them much. But I read them, and I shut up and learn from what they share in those threads. But I don't assume, they think they are gods, because they know a great deal more than me, in certain fields. ;-)

 Craig, you oh so humblish yet extremely pompous ass - it's one thing to acknowledge the expertise of someone in the area of any particular craft. It's quite another to put yourself in the role of "house expert" in issues of morality, philosophy, or "spiritual pursuits." But that's what you like to do, isn't it, my friend? You certainly like to think you have the final word on anything ethical, or moral, or "spiritual."

See...I, & a great many like me, look at you in far more realistic terms (& far earthier terms, as well).

Your morality is just fine, Craig, as you apply it to YOURSELF, but when you apply its rather strict (& often rather random) standards to the rest of us, to the world at large, you become a busybody asshole of the first order who's way too judgemental to be either trustworthy or a true christian, because, in your complete hypocrisy, no one can trust that you will not turn on any given person over any given decision, depending upon your extreme judgements of the acts of others.

But you go right ahead, & crown yourself with whatever title you want. As you call the rest of the world out, though, every judgement you make will boomerang right back atcha, ya big-pig-headed dummy.

You have shown me that it is obvious, even to you, when you go overboard with your assholish assessments & character assassinations of others, cuz you try your very best to counter it by flooding the forum with lots of "friendlier" threads, some of which are often even musical in nature. (WOWZERS!) Seeing that even you know when you're being a borish prig is heartening, Craig. Now if only you could DO something about it, preferably before you post your lengthy yet predictable drivel. Save the stones for building things up, Craig. They aren't there for you to throw. DO try to remember what your messiah said about that sort of thing.
