That's a very nice view of things. It's not what I would want or expect from a "cleansing process," though.

I don't think of it as a "cleansing process" as much as a growing process, or the birth pangs of a new age.

Think of the sacrifices made to ensure civil rights for black people here. There is a small but dedicated group who brings the issue to national consciousness, and even then, it takes long periods of time, and it requires the people of concious to be unreleting, which eventually brings it all to a head. But even still, there are those who REFUSE TO ACCEPT CHANGE and they will, even violently, do everything they can to prevent it.

You have martyrs like Martin Luther King JR, and those 3 civil rights workers in Mississippi, etc... And you also have those who REFUSE to accept change, like the murderers who killed them, or the Governor of Alabama, who stood in front of a public school, in the face of the U.S. Military and the world, to deny the black children admittance.

Do you know there were groups many decades before these events, that would publish HUGE BILLBOARDS in public, which stated... "Another black man was lynched to death in Alabama today!" to shame the Northerners into DOING SOMETHING, rather than just shaking their heads, saying... "Isn't that a shame, what they do in the South?" and leaving it at that!

Major changes, come slowly but surely, and reach a CLIMAX, which is most often VIOLENT!

THAT is where we are today in WORLD HISTORY.

It is the END, but of the OLD AGE, not of the world itself, or humanity as a whole. The END of anything, is always the BEGINNING of something else.

When a woman is pregnant, her body will pretty much FORCE the child out, whether she herself feels ready or not. Pain is involved in new birth. But nature goes through a deliberate process, to see that life through.

It is similar, with SPIRITUAL BIRTH, and the BIRTH of a NEW AGE.

It is almost being FORCED, whether we seem to want it "consciously" or not. But the forces aligned against such change, will not make it easy... they NEVER do!

But nature, and the momentum of history are FORCING this change, regardless.

It is time.

A major earthquake that struck off Indonesia's northern Sumatra has sparked panic among tourists and locals in neighbouring Thailand and Malaysia.

The 7.7-magnitude quake struck late last night and led experts to put out a tsunami alert for nearby coastal areas popular with tourists.
Thailand's National Disaster Warning Centre warned there was a high risk of a tsunami along the popular Andaman Coast, which was hit by the Boxing Day Tsunami in 2004, killing 5,400 people.

But, despite an initial panic, only small waves hit the coast and the alert has since been lifted.

The Hawaii-based Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre reported that: 'Sea level readings indicate that a significant tsunami was not generated.'
Seventeen people were injured in northern Sumatra when houses collapsed near the epicentre of the quake on Simeulue Island, but there have been no deaths and damage is limited.

An eye-witness described the panic in Indonesia's Banda Aceh when the tremor was first felt.

'People panicked and ran out of the house, it lasted almost a minute,' he said.

'I saw a lot of people who live close to the sea using motorcycles to drive inland.'

In 2004, a magnitude 9.15 quake off Aceh triggered the tsunami that killed about 226,000 people in Indonesia, Sri Lanka, India, Thailand and nine other countries.

Yep...these are pretty high magnitude earthquakes, too.

Speaking of which... Alot of scientists believe that California is due for another major earthquake sometime soon. Although soon, to someone studying earthquakes or meteor strikes, could mean, between now and the next 30 years or so.

Still... When California has been hit with the BIG ONES, it is never pretty.

This is where you misunderstand my "religion". I do not oppose God... nor do I put an ounce of faith in the Judaic-Christian Bible, or the Koran.

God is plenty visible in action all around us, and "It" doesn't give a whit more for you than the mosquitoes you'll swat all summer long.

That whole "savior/ rapture/ cleanse and rebuild heavan on earth" is Bologna. God is all around you, inside of you, a built in sense of right or wrong. No church required to worship, no flaming bushes to tell me right from wrong.

No one had to be nailed to a cross for my sins, and you damn sure don't have to burn life from the face of the planet to make it welcoming for your God to return on my behalf.

But enough about me... lets talk about you and your beliefs. Do you think that your time here on Earth is the time god has chosen for the big finale to his play? For some reason doing it during WW2 didn't seem the right time, and there was as much or more evil then.

Or maybe during Vietnam, when we had lots of your "Death Riding Locusts" flitting about. Why now... why is now better than 50 years, or 100 years when its theoretically even worse, because we're just a buncha dumb sheep that can't abide without a stern shepherd?

Do you really want to inspire the lesser minds among the world to incite a doom's day scenario because they think its God's will? Didn't we just stop 9 of "God's Soldier's" from starting what they thought should be the opening act of "THE END"?! Let's not encourage this train of thought... if you must "think it", feel free, but keep it to yourself. It's not a thought that should be processed by addled, idle minds.

No says I... if your God's "Beast" comes... I will join with whomever opposes him and slay him. If your God comes to move me and mine to make room for his "Heaven", I'll kick his ass too.

"MY" God isn't interested in property, and will let you and your God play, as long as you play nice. Rapture, Armageddon, streets of gold... that sort of interferes with "My God's" plans of everyone getting smarter and getting along, or getting dumber and making way for something else to enjoy his Universe.

So my opinion... put your big black book of fairy tales down and step outside to meet "God". Ask as loud as you like if the end times are upon us and listen well for the response.

Earthquakes, hurricanes, pestilence and the idiocy of humanity all around us, and "God" has hope. "God" is renewing the world all around us, opening eyes to fallacy (death panels and the motives of the "US Chamber of Commerce") and putting little buds on strawberry and tomato plants.

Why would "God" do all of that just to "snatch it away" at the last moment? Ask for yourself... "God" is listening, the answers are in the wind, and your looking in a dusty old book for "revelations".

When we're 80 yrs old I'll look you up, have a cup of joe with ya and ask you how the Apocalypse is coming. Who knows, we may have a good laugh at California's fate, we may be hanging with Kevin Costner on a houseboat. (Waterworld Reference)

For me, you oppose God, by placing yourself above Him, or equal to Him, or anywhere else, than being LORD of your life. If there is a "God" and He is your CREATOR, then He is in a position ABOVE you... He created you... it would only make sense, to consult and then accept, what His "WILL" for you would be... in other words... The "PURPOSE" he created you for.

To clarify...

It would be like someone finding a key, which unlocked a box which held untold treasures that could help the entire village. But someone CREATED that key, and only the CREATOR of that key, knows precisely what it was created for, and therefore, what it's best use is. Without that knowledge, the native might find that key and think it was really good for picking his ears clean, but that would be about all the benefit he would get out of it.

With the KNOWLEDGE of the CREATOR however, he could then learn that the key was DESIGNED to unlock the box, releasing all the untold benefits found inside.

In other words, a CREATION cannot realize it's full potential, unless it is used for what it was CREATED for, by it's CREATOR.

It is my experience, that one of the reaons people are miserable so often, is that they don't KNOW their purpose in life... which path is best for them... what their life is actually good for. They are using their lives, their KEYS for cleaning their ears, rather than unlocking TREASURE in themselves.

God is everything.

Many people subscribe to this belief, but I have HAD several instances of profound contact with God... enough to know that He is not MATTER. He is quite more than dog sh*t, which in a pantheistic belief system, He would be, at least in part. There are also too many logical fallacies involved with a pantheistic belief system. One of the first would be... If God is EVERYTHING... if He is MATTER ITSELF... then how is He subject to the laws He Himself created? Matter functions according to specific principles. Did God both CREATE these principles, to bring about His own existence, and then LIMIT HIMSELF to those same principles. And how did he being Himself into existence, if He didn't already exist?

I get pantheism... I really do.

Nature is MAGNIFICENT!

The most vehement atheist scientist still admires NATURE and is amazed over it, and wants to understand it, and peer into it's depths and origins.

But it cannot be CREATOR of ITSELF.

Logicsays that it would have to already exist in order to create itself... which of course, is IMPOSSIBLE, and why Christianity upholds the belief that God has no beginning and no end.

Furthermore... WE can maipulate nature, which would in effect mean, that we can manipulate GOD, if nature "IS" God. And yet somehow I have POWER OVER GOD, and yet I cannot create ONE SINGLE FLOWER... unlike God, who created the ENTIRE COSMOS... yet I control God? I manipulate God?

And that is primarily where I am.

After many decades of questions, research, study, prayers and numerous spiritual experiences... I have reached what I believe is a REASONABLE PROXIMITY of "truth", where God and the origins and purpose of LIFE are concerned.

I will say that I KNOW that God exists, just as surely as I know my mother exists. I have had REAL and TANGIBLE experiences that prove this to me. I fully accept and understand that many others have NOT had such experiences, but for those who have... you will not convince us with your LACK of experience, any more than we will convince you with our HISTORY of such experiences.

On any given subject that exists, there are some who know more, and some who know less, and some who know nothing. There are some who research and explore the fileds that interest them most, and there are others who could care less about such fields, and don't spend much time at all looking into them, compared to their other pursuits.

To say that someone DOESN'T KNOW MORE than ANYONE ELSE, on a certain subject, would be to state, that there are some subjects in which EVERYONE IN THE WORLD has EQUAL KNOWLEDGE.

Do you really know ANY field, in which the entire population of the world, has a perfectly identical knowledge, where everyone knows exactly the same amount of information as everyone else?

I have spent more time on this subject matter, than on ANYTHING ELSE I have ever learned in life... And I have learned ALOT of things, over my 44 years. I am a sponge for facts and information.
