Members of BOTH parties in Congress are being targetted with acts of violence. I don't think it is humorous in the least.

When you watch civility wane, and see your country so divided that it embarks nearly toward civil war, and then watch enemy nations or terrorist groups exploit it.... we'll see how funny it still is then.

You are watching YOUR country ripping at the seams.

It is NOT funny in the least.

Palin has images of gunsights on states where members of congress are vulnerable because of how they voted.

Not funny? That's a f*cking joke Craig.

When corrupt politicians ignore the will of the people and constitutional law, you got to expect some crazy responses.
Not condoning the actions mind you.
I prefer to hang them all legal like.

Church ain't over till the fat lady sings.

What else would you expect after all the media hype, the fear-mongering, the lies & vicious attacks from the outset?

The far right has certainly riled ppl up with these tactics, kinda like McCain did during his campaign. He, at least, had the sense to see what was happening, & asked ppl not to erupt. Beck, Limbaugh, Palin & thier ilk, have not. In fact, they are encouraging such behavior.

Don't be surprized to see this escalate.

This huge rift in our country has been created by some ppl who would be our leaders, as well as by "entertainers," & it sickens me to hear thier hate- & fear-based rhetoric. It can lead to nothing less than violence.

This "new & improved & 'better-informed' America" better get its sh*t together, or it's going down the tubes FAST.

It has nothing to do with the far right.
It has to do with people.
.
I have talked to a lot of folks about the healthcare system that has been rammed down our throats.
Not one person I've talked to - not even one - has said they want it or like it.
.
Instead of allowing the politicians to just vote on it, Obama strong armned members of his party to pass his bill.
A gvt of threats and bribes - that just doesn't sit well with me.
. . . Or anyone I've talked with . . . this is not just my opinion.
.
I don't know about your area of the country, but people here hate him and all the back room deals and all.
People are very angry; watching our country and out constitution disolve before our very eyes . . .
.
Obama wants what Obama wants - and damn the people.
He's like Castro, or Pol-Pot, or Putin - rule by fear. Do as he says.
hey . . .
This country is not a Monarchy, nor a socialist country.
.
This country is a Democracy - a govenment appointed by the people.
And the government is supposed to take care of the technical details of carrying out what the people asked for.
We did NOT ask for this bill.
Obama asked for this bill.
Or rather, Obama demanded this bill. He wants to go down in history. Obama the saviour . . .
A lot of folks would rather just see him step down.
. . . or get impeached, for disregarding due process. . .
. . . that's what the checks and balances in our gvt. are for - to prevent a president from usurping too much power.
.
You better get healthcare coverage, or you're breaking the law, and he can fine you, and take your money for a new museum in his name or something.
I didn't give him that right, did you?
.
I can't afford it.
So - I have to pay a fine - and become even MORE poor?
eff him, and the horse he came in on . . .
.
I'm all for the constitution, and due process of law.
.
Give the people what the asked for, what they voted for.
Don't get in office and then just go poastal, for Christ sake . . .
.
Yeah, ok, I've had my say . . . I just came here for the music, I don't need this . . .

Zip: Hulk? Oh you mean Rush. Just throw him some Vicodin and he'll calm down.

RM: Seems to me our Congress voted for this bill. You know, the people that represent us. If you don't like what they did vote 'em out of office. But don't come on here comparing Obama to a dictator, we're too damned smart for that.

YEAH, thats a great post RM.
Jimminy baby,,,, I'm to smart for that,,,,, You keep playing with your wannabe dictators,,,, KEEP THEM OUT OF THIS COUNTRY.

You funny jimminy cause every one of you has 1000 to disagree. We are going to retake America ,and this time it won't be from the violence you preach.
It will be from pure honest love of our fellow Americans , Our charity,Our belief in hope, and most of all our faith in GOD.

I wish people Like you would stop talking about violence because that is all it creates. Maybe thats what you want to see.....
Funny obama has so many friends that have tried that path and realised it is a path of failure.

Anyway,,, You funny jimminy.........[cricket   ]

Are you suggesting she is encouraging violence against politicians, by that political graphic?

Cause I have personally heard her on MANY occassions DENOUNCE VIOLENCE as a solution to anger at politicians.

I am talking about REAL acts of violence.

Happening to BOTH sides of the aisle apparently.

This country was UNITED as never before during 9/11.

And now it has been DIVIDED as we have not seen in a LOOOOONG TIME!

You think this is good?

Many people speak in militaristic terms.
When the cheerleaders say were going to kill the other team do they literally mean the taking of human life??
Most populace political jargon is militaristic.

Come on Jimmy. You are too intelligent an individual to get caught up in the PC phony rants from either side.

When you kick ass at your concert, do you get shyt on your shoes ??
If I say a dark chocolate Hershey bar is black am I a raciest ??

As the truth comes out, we will all realize we've been had by liars on both sides.

If we the people buy into the bullshyt being spewed by both sides instead of looking for just men to lead our country we'd might as well just kill each other off now.
Exaggeration, hype and faulse panic are all tools of divisiveness right out of Mao's little red book. And a million despots before him.
Justice must prevail or dictatorship will result.

I hope this does get ugly, as it will go down in history as how a bunch of people who had everything wanted to deny everyone else because some liars hyped it to the max.

Maybe it will be good and/or maybe it will be bad, but surely the idea is a good one on a broad level.

I'd say if any of it was bad, it will be how it's executed not the original idea.

And do you think you might get shot over it? Why hell yes, dummy.

I'm hungry and rich people look like fat pigs waiting for xmas.

If you want to tell the masses that they don't deserve to be able to buy into some kind of health care, you better be holding a loaded gun.

jimmydanger wrote:So "Don't Retreat, Just Reload" sounds like a call for calm?

She borrowed this line from her dad, who had told reporters when she resigned from office... "Sarah's not retreating, she's reloading!"

Again...

She has publcly denounced violence in politics MANY TIMES. I have heard her do it, two or three times myself. There is no way any of her supporters could be confused over where she stands.
