I would have considered voting Republican had there been a McCain/Romney ticket. His dad was the govenor of Michigan and he would have done well here. But after picking Palin I was done with McCain. His time has passed; the Republicans should have put him in office in 2000. They need to get their poop in order ASAP and these Tea Party incidents do not shine a positive light on the party.

This country is going back to GOD ,GUNS, and GOLD ,in that order ,like it or not.
This is the only way that we can stop a FEDERAL, MAJOR, SOCIAL JUSTICE REFORM BILL,,, From mandating that every restaurant post a calorie count on their menus. This is in the "BILL".
Sorry to get you started on this topic by referencing my balls[TEXAS] at least I got some and you are going to be SHOCKED at the number of people that do.

It's amazing that he was able to accomplish what no other president has been able to in just nine months. Let's give him credit

No offense Jimmy, but the credit goes to Nancy Pelosi (can't stand her, but she is tough as nails).

President Obama had all but given up on health care, after the election of Brown took away their filibuster proof majority, Rahm Emanuel had pretty much convinced the President to go instead for what he called "skinny health care", a very toned down version.

Pelosi degraded it as "kiddie care" and was INCENSED!

She got a meeting with Obama, and told him that Democrats had put their jobs on the line for this bill, and had stuck their neck out for Obama on this, and he should return the favor and stick his neck out a little for them on this. She convinced him, that she could get this done, even with the loss of the Massachusetts seat. She also told him, that they would never again, during Obama's term, hold a greater majority, than they held right then, and so... this has to be done NOW!

He believed her, and agreed for "one more push" for the whole thing.

He was advised to include Republicans for a sit down on this, and drummed this fact up in the press, that he was including Republicans on this. As I mentioned in another post, this was a preemptive strike, and a strategic decision, to take the "blame game" out of the Republican's arsenal... one less chance then, of this biting the dust quickly.

Meanwhile, Pelosi had a meeting with other Congressional leaders, where a list was made of fence sitters on the Democratic side, or any of them who were weak and could turn at the last moment. It was 67 or something politicians in all. A suggestion was made to divvy up these politicians among them, so they could all be talked to, and lobbied hard to stay the course on this bill no matter what. When they asked Pelosi which Congress members out of the 67, she would take, to visit and lobby, she responded... "I'm taking ALL of them myself!"

She then spent a large amount of man-hours telephoning and meeting in person, with EVERY SINGLE ONE of them. She forcefully told each one, that this bill was their chance to make history. That it was now or never. And it better be NOW, because some of them may be looking for jobs soon, if this doesn't pass.

She convinced them.

The bill passed.

Thank Speaker of the House Pelosi for that, not President Obama.

We would have had someone that understood businesses at least.

He would have been a better... and more HONEST President than we have now.

LOL

But honestly... Hillary is far more knowledgable than Obama.

The Dems should have given it to her. She had earned it.

Now that is a frightening thought indeed!

But I doubt that would work anyway, cause I'm suspicious, that there may be something swinging between her legs, under that pants suit!

Well, it took UNITY of the entire TEAM.

I'll meet you that far.

But Pelosi was the Joan of Arc of the Health Care Bill.

Not that she deserves the same fate as poor Joan.
