Geezus Jimmy... You have to insult an entire state?

I know you are not saying that all Texans are big liars, but it kind of comes across that way.

Gee brother Jimmy, I had to search the whole page to find what you were refering to.... The Republican Congressman's unusual remarks during the health care session. (he apologized by the way)

But this was actually the lead article, by the time I got around to checking your link out .. LOL...

CNN poll: Majority disapprove of Obama for first time
March 22nd, 2010
From CNNMoney.com Deputy Managing Editor Rich Barbieri

A new CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll reveals that 51 percent of respondents disapprove of President Obama's job performance.
Washington (CNN) – For the first time, a CNN poll has found that a majority of Americans disapprove of President Obama's job performance.

According to a CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll released Monday, 51 percent of respondents disapprove of Obama's job performance and 46 percent approve of it.

Obama's approval rating has dropped steadily each month since December, when it was 54 percent. His highest approval rating in a CNN poll was 76 percent in February 2009 shortly after he took office.

Might be because you didn't look until nearly 12 hours after I posted Craig.

The man was out of order and is a liar for first not admitting he said it, and then saying he was referring to the bill. I'm sick of the teabaggers calling members of congress fags, nig*ers and baby killers. It's the sign of a desperate mind to sink to that level.

I vote to give Texas back to the Mexicans.

You know Jimmy I have had respect for you untill this post. I have continually read your rather egotistical post on this forum about how much more intelligent you are than the rest of us that are lacking higher education. This post just proves to everyone how ignorant you really are.
So you can just continue with your juvenile self BUB!

Well J of course I'm being facetious. But if one side can say horrible things why not the other? What those protesters said over the weekend to members of OUR congress was despicable, and the final blow was that moron yelling "baby killer" while the rep from Michigan was speaking. He neither manned up and owned his remark nor sufficiently apologized for it. Yes I'm mad as hell that people like Glenny can call Stupak "Stupid" and it's OK by you guys but if anyone from the side of the debate disagrees they're communists. I couldn't care less if any of you like me, I will speak my mind.

So speaking your mind equates to hurling insults at an entire state? You sir are lowering yourself to the same standards you despise. In spite of our political differences I have always had respect for you. So as YOU once told me regarding an unrelated post, take the high road and refrain from lowering yourself to their standards. Please don't insult the state I so dearly LOVE and I will give the same respect for your state.

I will respect your love of Texas if we are shown the same respect. YOUR representative was RUDE and OUT OF LINE to MY representative and by not chastising the offender you have sided with him. Is this what people on your side of the aisle do? Call the president a liar, call their peers baby killers? Yell racial and homophobic slurs at members of congress because things aren't going your way? Respect is earned, not given on the basis of where you were born or where your home is.

It's not ok by me bro.

I think his remarks were uncalled for, and uncivil.

But even still, you should appreciate the anger that pro-life individuals and groups feel, over the prospect of their tax dollars being used to fund abortions, when some of them believe it is "murder".

The language preventing federal funding of abortions, is not in the bill itself, but in an accompanying executive order. The problem they have, is that an executive order means little, when it can be rescinded AT WILL, by another executive order, whether from this president, or any that follow. There are other problems that lawyers for pro-life groups have found with the bill, that could allow other loopholes for federally funded abortions.

Stupak's group of hold-outs would have insured the bill died, forcing further deliberations and possibly, language preventing the use of federal funds for abortion, being included in the bill itself, which would be more difficult to over-turn. (if I understand all this correctly)

And pro-life groups don't trust Obama as it is, when he has previously overturned an executive order which prevented federal funding of international groups if they performed abortions overseas. So he already has a history of overturning executive orders such as this.

This is a HUGELY serious issues to those with pro-life sympathies. To them it is QUITE LITERALLY... life and death.

You have to understand the emotions, that those strongly held beliefs engender.

I think it was wrong, that he didn't own up to his comments right away.

But that makes him a COWARD, not a liar.

Still, I don't think you should condemn an entire state for it.

And besides... Texas has a hell of alot more weapons than Michigan does. When the country divides into 5 or 6 smaller countries, and Ryan is running things in Texas... you don't want him nuking Michigan first, do you?

;-)

Bro,

He did say he was being facetious. (not serious / deliberately inappropriate humor / banter)

That's pretty close to an apology.

Guys like this, piss Jimmy off. He sees narrow-mindedness, as holding the country back... hell, holding HUMANITY itself back!

Funny stuff Craig. Of course I don't want to give Texas back to Mexico, that wouldn't be very nice for the Mexicans LOL.

Seriously, I was being facetious take make a point. How many times have we heard Texans want to suceed from the union? I guess you don't remember the last time the south tried to do that.

And Ryan couldn't run his own bath let alone Texas.

Well, he is a liar.

Sorry, but he's lied about alot of things. He even made up sh*t in his own autobiography, that was later shown to be non-factual.

He's not a very honest person.

That's not an insult... just factual.
