Sorry the site hasn't worked for you yet Cretindilettante, give it time and don't give up. Please don't be offended, but maybe try a different music approach. Don't get me wrong either I like Fugazi, Ministry,Uzi,Nailbomb, etc. But that genre really isn't THAT popular any more. You might get a few more bites in your area if you diversify a little. And if you enjoy that style so much then stick to it, just consider the advice. Good luck....

Wow, my parents (retired) live in Boynton Beach. Had to visit them a few times last year, my father was very ill. Got to go back in a few months. Are you gigging yet?

Of course, I haven't really done anything except post twice and have my band's page up. Hmm...

I'm not musically talented enough yet to be very experimental. Most of the stuff I have been working on is just drone or dark ambient/sound collage type stuff. Once I can afford a full sized keyboard I can continue to practice and study the more musical side of things, but until then I just cut up and rearrange sounds.

I do a lot of dark ambient as well, actually. I just mix it with other things.
A bit of a pointless thing for me to say, but I enjoy finding common ground with other musicians.

I think it's good to create accounts on many sites, make friends, get followers.
Recently, a girl on youtube won a $25,000 record deal. She just had all her online friends/followers vote for her in the twitter competition she was in & she won unopposed.
She's on channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/katem3
& here's another girl about to win her competition unopposed:
