Hmmmph. I reckon that if I buy it at all, I'll wait until it hits the $5 bin. LOL

I wasn't as blown away as I had expected to be, after all the hype.

I'm not really a big fan of anti-military anti-U. S. movies, even sugar coated ones.

These are not necessarily mutually exclusive.

The home DVD after all, won't be in 3D.

Maybe they will re-release the movie, for those who prefer it in 3D, and didn't see it the first time aroound?

Releasing a DVD in tandem with a second theatrical release doesn't sound very good to me, but I suppose there are those out there who know better than I how to make the most money off this rather average movie.

I think it's really funny how we put so much emphasis on how a movie looks, & ignore whether or not it has a good story to begin with. It seems typical of our silly society, though, I guess.

This, & all the Tim Burton movies that ppl rave so much about, leave me wondering why the story lines aren't better, & how ppl can be so impressed with so little substance.

For me, I want more than pretty pictures moving on a screen. I don't buy books for the pictures, either.

Perhaps I'm just not very sophisticated, but I'm sick of comic books on the big screen.

C'mon Phil, you know Hollywood stopped making meaningful movies years ago. They dumbed down the movies for a dumbed down America. It's all about how many special effects they can cram into 90 minutes, not how well-written the dialogue is or how well-developed the plot is. If you want to think see "A Serious Man".
