Just got over the storm here. I've heard from a few people I've met on here that live in NJ, this last weekend was really tough on us with the weather.

I lost a bit of stuff I'd recorded too but no matter, not the end of the world is it.
So what have you been up to?

The snow is melting here. FINALLY!! I can actually get outside and see sidewalks now. But we are supposed to get more snow this week. And it is supposed to accumulate. I don't even care. It can't last long.

What have I been doing?

I just bought a Canon Vixia HF S100 Camcorder to use for making guitar videos. I decided that rather than limit my stuff to MP3's, I would make DVD's. I am blown away by that Vixia. It is beyond a doubt the coolest toy in my toy box. The clips that I get from that are simply amazing.

At least for now. Or at least until GAS strikes again. :D :D

I think Video is the way to go myself too. Actually I saw you post about this a little while ago and wanted to add that even years ago a cheap Sony Camcorder picks up a lot of things as regards you wouldn't dream of.
In fact on leaving it on by mistake in a car back then I was told, "Those things could cause a lot of trouble". :D
Picked up ever word even a soften voice.

Sorry to hear you have snow coming again, I do feel for you having had it here too, what a year winter wise huh? Mind the Frogs are everywhere now (Of course) and sounding happy. The next few days are well above normal and we're heading into perhaps the mid seventies all week now.

On the video note. I use Linux a lot as most know now I suppose? Anyway one of my goals is to create snapshot videos for my stuff either acting or something different, perhaps my animations in flash, with the above included? Not sure really just yet?

Good luck with the gas Lol!
Seriously though, good luck, I'm sure it will be fun working on.
Thanks Slacker.

It's been a lot of flooding on our roads lately. You gotta be a little creative as you drive around the huge pot-holes created by the thaw & freeze stuff, & there are some real axle-busters in the water that you hadta take care to miss.

The river's way up, & the creeks are all muddy. Guess I'll hafta make myself wait awhile before I bother fishing...

I haven't "diddled" in a while, in spite of being snowed in, flooded in, & waiting for the weather to change so's I can work.

Many years ago on opening day of trout fishing season in New Jersey there was a big flood. I went to the Rockaway River in Denville, NJ and the river was way over the bank. There were people fishing in a parking lot, I kid you not. Idiots in hip boots wading and casting in a parking lot! I wish I had a picture of that. Pristine suburban trout fishing at its best!

We've had sun shine and some warm days. The fruit trees and flowering bushes are starting to bloom. The bands been practicing getting ready for the studio and I've been hunting a better job.
Wife, sons, and I leave on vacation in the morning.
I need the time off with the family. Though when I get home we're really going to crank on the band scene.
