Gen 1:26 - "And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth."

I think he is referring more to features, like noses, or worse... skin color, as if God were black or white, or had Semetic or Caucasian features.

God as a spiritual being would have little need for biceps, or eyebrows, right? ;-)

Then how's she going to point the way to the beach with no biceps?

Or feign quizzical surprise with no eyebrows? Are you implying G has no expression? A deity that does botox?

How are we to recognize WRATH if delivered with a blank look?

No...eyebrows are essential!

You may have a point.

But you know females, She will find a way. Women are VERY resourceful! ;-)

Faith begins where science ends. There's a lot that science cannot explain. For example you may scoff at the Holy Ghost entering your body. It has happened to countless people. I've experienced it and I'm particularly scientific minded. All those around me expereinced it also. either you have faith in God or you don't, it's as simple as that. Either you believe as a Christian or you don't. Or perhaps believe in the ways of other religions or you don't. There may come a time that something happens in your life which triggers your belief in God. There may not. What somebody lectures in a college or on a street corner isn't likely to change your view of God. An event or events in your life might. If it happens then fine, if not that's fine too. I'm not one for trying to change somebody's mind about their religious beliefs. I can tell you that I believe in God. Some things have happened to me that prove it beyond a doubt to me.

You should be over-joyed that so many millions of people (actually billions) over the last 2,000 years have gotten it. The fact that some don't get it isn't sad at all...

As Jesus said, if we're accepted by everyone, then we must be doing something wrong...

C'mon you guys....I thought you were Christians?

Isn't a Christian a follower of Christ's teachings and not simply a follower of Christ?

Would Christ reject a non-believer?

Do you judge a person on their professions of faith or their actions?

What values do you hold dear?

Honesty? Charity? Compassion? Love?

Is it so unimagineable that a person with no knowledge of your God or any gods could share those values?

You guys say that "Christ teaches us..." whilst others say, "My parents taught me, my family taught me" and (often) "...my mistakes have taught me...".

You quote scripture and the Gospel as if it provides tha answer to everything. What if it's just something to think about whilst you excerise free-will and engage your morality?

question everything. It's the best way to learn.

You're basing this on a book written, edited, and translated several times by human beings. It's hardly reliable.

To be fair, modern scholars both Jewish and Christian, still work on the Torah and the translation from the oldest texts is deemed to be fairly accurate. However, I agree that it is understood to be written by man.
