My personal faves are Roger Daltry, John Kay, Peter Gabriel, Peggy Lee, & David Byron...oh yeah...I also like that guy that fronted Live, but I can never remember his name...I consider them all to be separated widely in genre, too.

For quality, shear power and range, Boston's Brad Delp was a master !
A couple of unsung rock vocalists that I always liked were The Zombies's Colin Blunstone (still in good voice sinse the early 60's). and The Fixx's Cy Curnin.

As far as chick singers go, I like a bunch, but Dion Warwick, Chrissy Hynde and Joan Armatrading tear me up.

For what he did with Led Zeppelin.
For what he did on his own.
And for how he continues to try to grow as a musician, even when most people consider him past his prime.

Steve Perry, Rick Emmet, Klous Mein, Pat Benetar, Ann Wilson, David Coverdale, Tony Bennett, Marvin Gay, Smokey Robinson, Sammy Hagar, all of the Eagles, Rob Halford, James Lebrei, The guy that sang on the Heaven And Hell album (his name escapes me at the moment), Patsy Kline,

Greg Allman.
He keeps doing shows night after night and finding a way to stretch out long shows and still keep singing.

No need to qualify Sir Paul. From 68-70 McCartney's vocals were IT! I liked early Alice Cooper, Paul Rogers, Neil Young (that's right) Noddy Holder,

Good call on Cy, Howlin.

I would have to mention David Bowie, Eddie Vedder, Roger Daltrey, Peter Gabriel and Ian Gillian.

I'd have to agree with alot of the ones mentioned.

But I always thought this guy was a really good, and usually overlooked singer... I know he banged this one out, and it's one of my faves from the past...

Yeah, I absolutely love Perry, Wilson and Hagar. Iconic, in my book.

Also really like Geoff Tate from Queensryche.

And Myles Kennedy from Alter Bridge/Mayfield Four... Man, love his voice. He's one of the new guys I really, really like.
