We dodged a bullet on this one. Looks like the snow's gonna miss us, & that, my friends, makes me very happy!!!!

We have two wet ones on the ground here.

Robins are those pretty young girls that start to show more skin when the sun starts to climb over the horizon of winter. You tend to see many more of them as it warms up, at concerts and even bar gigs. Warning as it warms up they have been known to change their names to silly ones such as cathy or brittiney or terry or vannessa.
So Slacker just be carefull as you move into spring.

There isn't going to be a spring this year. 85 consecutive days below 40 degrees so far this year. That broke a record days ago. What they don't mention is how many days below freezing we have had. I bet that is also a record. We have been about 25-30 degrees below normal all winter. Now we are seeing another cold snap and more snow on the way. When I looked at the weather pattern, it looked like a big thumb coming down from the North, with Iowa directly in the center and only about 25 miles into the surrounding states along the thumb outline. Iowa was dead center 100%.

Well I may have some good news?
Apparently and I know this from my wondrous temp gauge. We are in the higher 30's. Wind is coming, (Always does here). Anyway Glen. Complaints are starting to come in from NYC about snowfall.

I heard them saying on TV. (Well) that they were prepared for it.
So far we are doing great. Bamboos down again blocking back door but I have a pot of some lovely stew to cook later.

Shovels at the ready and forearms bared. Seriously though it is one one the longest and coldest I can ever remember.
