I've added a second take of Apache using a Strat, and a Fender Bassman amp. Much closer to the mark tone wise, but I wish I had of had a little more time setting up the sound.

I was grinning ear to ear the whole way through. Man that brings back memories. You have an absolute perfect Spaghetti Western sound with that setting. That is a real killer tone.

I'm curious as to the what & how fx you used sinse a Bassman has no reverb?

While there is just a slight slight touch of stereo reverb added at the mixing board, the main effect is by 2 echo boxes set a different repeat rates. One is set to quarter notes, the other set a bit faster to triplets. This sort of mimics old multi head tape machines like the Binson, and the Wem/Watkins ones from the early 60s. The echo pedals used here are a Fulltone tube tape echo, and an MXR Carbon Copy analog delay pedal

The cool thing is that there is just enough echo to enhance the tone without drowning it! You really do have a great ear for good sound.

I had one of those WEM four head, tube preamped British tape echos in the 70's. It was marketed in the States as a Guild Copycat. Apart from being a pain in the ass to keep tapes from breaking in the middle of a performance, it was one of the best sounding echos that I ever had. I used it for live vocals. I honestly don't know what I ever did with it. (probably landfilled it along with my Clavinet )

A musician buddy of mine found himself at a party with Dave Gilmour about 20 years ago, and grilled him about equipment, and one of the things he came away with was that Gilmour likes to use 2 echoes set to quarter notes and triplets. Also the video below gave me the idea to use two echoes also
