Boooo!

Audacity is one of the weakest multitrack programs around :roll:
I think I've installed and uninstalled it half a dozen times when I've felt like toying with other programs.

I say go old school and hunt down a free copy of Cool Edit Pro.
I trialed Adobe Audition, the "new" version of cool edit since Adobe bought the rights. It's like someone said "hey! wouldn't it be a great idea to take some REALLY popular software, buy the rights, mix up the interface a bit so it works like sh*t and sell it as new and improved!" :roll:

Just to add fuel to the fire. Krystal Audio has come a very long way in 5 years. You might want to check it out. This and another were the first pieces of software I used.

Very well maintained and a great peer to peer forum.
