Put them under country music. Just about everything else goes there.

Country music is to the music profession what McDonald's is to the culinary profession.

....rap would be the equivalent of a freeway rest stop snack machine.

Even country music could be subdivided into six or ten genre'. Some with extraordinarily talented musicians over the years.
I caught a glimpse of a "country music" video as I was surfing for some entertainment last night. If you turned the sound off you'd think you were being treated to a porn flick judging by the dress and actions of the "star".
Walk out of the room, and when the "star" was not caterwauling with that fake assed accent, it sounded just like 80's rock music.

Said it before but.............

Unfortunately today's country is being swayed more and more to please the pop fan. A trend that started with acts like Shania Twayne and the Dixie Chicks, not even to say they're poor musicians.

At one point, mainstream country groups possessed the greatest number of highly skilled musicians.

In today's market though, it's just another genre that has been dumbed down just as rock, metal, R&B, punk etc. all has.

Boxed, tagged and sold.
