Because in so doing, you can't call it (Creation is a myth) a fact, which is what you continue to do. [/quote]
You are misquoting or misunderstanding me.
Creation is not a myth.
Creation in 6 LITERAL DAYS is a myth.
Please don't confuse these two.
God is Creator, and he creates OVER TIME. He blesses us with childbirth, and this process takes 9 months. 9 MONTHS.
Evolution is God's creative tool. There are instructions and a life force within subatomic particles, atoms, molecules and matter. Higher and higher life forms and greater complex unions, from the smallest of origins.
I see it as BEAUTIFUL that God created the Cosmos over BILLIONS of years, rather than snapping His fingers. He was INVESTED in His creation. Like our own spiritual growth, it doesn't occur instantaneously, it takes effort, and work and time. God spent BILLIONS of years, creating a physical environment for His children to dwell in. This is not only spiritual to me, it is beautiful, and it is awe inspiring. How much love did he invest, in preparing for His children over BILLIONS of years of time? Human children are lucky if their parents even read a single book on child development before having a baby. Maybe someone paints a room and prepares a crib, and some baby toys. God was so in love with the THOUGHT of us, that He invested His heart FULLY, and labored meticulously over Billions of years, to prepare the perfect environment, both for dwelling in, but also for future generations to expand into the Cosmos, as well as to blow our minds with the awesome size of, and complexity and beauty of, this magnificent Cosmos.
And aside from all this...
I think part of the problem here, is that you have a negative view of the term "mythology". You seem to take it as "Something made up" or even "a lie", a fanciful but untrue tale.
Myth is deeper and more powerful than that.
Mythology is deeply rooted in the human psyche and very powerful. If you've studied Carl Jung, you understand the powerful nature of things like mythology, and the archetypes contained within their stories.
Myth is not as simple as "A made up story"
Myth generally contains anecdotes and lessons, that "ARE" truthful, and often based even in some historical truth.
There is TRUTH and MORAL LESSONS to be gleaned from ancient myths.
Jesus himself taught in parables. Parables are stories used to teach some moral lesson. They are not real events. They are stories made up in such a way, that all the listening audience can understand and relate to them.
Was primitive man ready to pass down stories about subatomic particles, and what DNA is, and how gravity functions so they would understand how the planets and satellites revolve around one another without hitting each other?
Until science and technology and the brain mass of mankind caught up, there was no getting into the details of "HOW" God literally creates. Now science is beginning to uncover this. Only now.
