Barometric Pressure (New) is still to practice for the first time in Mid-January, so nothing to report right now.

If your band reforms it's no big deal. Keep on keeping on. I agree that NKF doesn't sound like a Christian band name. But I don't think there's any deep meaning in any band name. As long as it's not vulgar or derogatory. I wouldn't change the name at this point. You've done a lot of marketing with it. It wuld be foolish to change the name IMO.PierceG wrote:Bob,

I like NKF too. It fits and it has meaning to us.
Unfortunately we deal with a lot of bible belt stereotypical nonsense down here.
Hard enough that we play rock music ... but that Chinese Kung Fu stuff ... well that is just devil worship ya know.![]()
I'd wager we could get more " church gigs " if we played country music and sang about cheating wives and such than we get singing rock music to glorify God.
Some people "get it" most don't.

Your a lot more likely to see a dark beer on my stack than a Peace Tea, so it's also kind of an inside joke of sort's.
I have to say I understand where your coming from about "religious" people.
But I also have to respectfully disagree.
Though forbearance was taught by our Lord Jesus, far too many "religious" people are extremely intolerant. Myself included.
I / we are no different than the rest of the sinners in this world.
With the exception that by grace alone through faith we are saved.
Not to belabor a point but this is the point of my personal mission.
To do what I can to dispel the myth that some how Christians are better or are supposed to be better.
This is preposterous assumption that leads to less understanding and acceptance of the forgiveness Christ is. By those whom have " religion " and those whom do not believe.
Honestly I'd rather be in a room full of well intentioned heathens than a room full of Christians whom think they are somehow free of their sins.
Frankly ... they suck.
And what is worse ... they are dead wrong.
