that run that starts at end of the guitar solo at 3:01-3:07 is tricky but you can do it with practice... basically two-note intervals the first being A# /C# - using 6th string A# on 6th fret and 5th string C# 4th fret then next comes C# / E using C# at 5th sting 4th fret and E using 4th string 2nd fret, next E G# placing the E 4th string 2nd fret and the G# at 3rd sting 1st fret, next is F# and A# using the F# at 4th string 4th fret and A# position of 3rd string 3rd fret, now we jump to A# C# with the A# using 4th string 8th fret and the C# position of 3rd string 6th fret..next, C# E with C# using 3rd string 6th fret and E using 2nd sting 5th fret, next.. E G# with E utilizing 3rd string 9th fret and G# using 2nd string 9th fret.. next F# and A# with F# using 3rd string 11th fret and A# using 2nd string 11th fret.. now onwards to A# and C# with A# using 15th fret 3rd string and C# using the 2nd string 14th fret.. next C# E with C# again using 2nd string 14th fret and E occupying 1st string 12th fret.. next in the run is E G# with E using 2nd string 17th fret and G# using 1st string 16th fret and last but not least the F# and A# with F# using 2nd string 19th fret and A# using 1st string 18th fret..take your time be patient grasshopper, this is complex and will take some time to develop muscle memory..

all sorts of accolades yesterday playing in front of thousands of passers by, and not one mention og outta tune. envy is what envy does.. a liittle play on words from forrest gump.. LOL

these are a crutch for musicians with tin ears and/or perfectionists that don't really get the concept of being a genuine musician.. what do you two do when you hear a trumpet 4 beats out? what do you do when you hear a malletkat 5 beats out of 440A? .. do you piss and moan then too? you two must have perfect pitch? eh? or are you just being wise because it is a planetguy thing you like expounding on, because of the past here? that you both know did not go well? what did you think of the riff I taught you for free? can you do it yet? let's get to the meat and potatoes of the reason why I wanted to help you become better on your guitar..LMAO let's hear you do it that Led Zeppelin run as good and then I will shut up.. until then??? no telling what I might think but I won't hurt your feelings, if you even have any..LMAO :D

I forgot to add the clip-on tuner was given to me free by a trader friend, he gives me free guitar picks, strings, capos etc. when he comes across them when they are bunched in with something valuable like 14K stud earrings and such ..he never asks for money he simply says, "here" .. he will be at Fair Play tomorrow, he's a Mennonite..

just let me know when you two can do the run? this will be good? if you need some coaching, I will be happy to assist, although it will be hard from my easy chair.. if I were giving you two one-on-one lessons I could literally help you with the fingering..LOL :D

more free "junk" Truman the Mennonite has given me for free and since I never used them or opened them, I have no need for them, I will pass on to one of you all if you pay the postage..

I was doing that run in 1975. In tune.

Dude...you really can't tell that your D is sharp and most of your other strings are also out? Really?

nonsense, they are a godsend to gigging musicians who must tune their instruments in noisy venues or when at noisy jam sessions when other musicians lack the good sense and/or common courtesy to STFU while someone else is trying to tune.

you two must have perfect pitch? eh? or are you just being wise because it is a planetguy thing you like expounding on, because of the past here? .

get off it. you were pleading for me to weigh in on some tune of your's and give you stars and kudos where the guitar was hooo-rendously out of tune.....out of friendship and not wanting to hurt your feelings i tried to put you off as long as i could...until you started getting pissy about me not weighing in.

and when i did, i said something very much along the lines of "sorry, it's difficult for me to focus on the song when the guitar is so out of tune". and then, when you threw a hissy fit and actually decided to make an issue out of it...at first claiming you were IN TUNE (?????) you then veered off into bizarro-ville pointing at other cases where some popular tune had a gtr part a little out of tune.

but your gtr wasn't "a little out of tune" ...it was painfully out of tune for anyone w even modest pitch recognition.

and then, you swiftly heard that very same thing not just from me....but from Jimmy D, GtrMike, Vinny, Jook, and probably a few others to boot . and how did you handle that? well, not so good, eh?

did you learn anything? are you now paying more attention to your intonation after hearing the concerns of those musicians you previously had respect for when they agreed you were out tune? sounds like....not. instead, you're once again pointing fingers at others you're suggesting are jealous and "envious". :(

look, if you don't hear things are out tune....that's an easy enough solve w a tuner. they're not perfect...esp so w an instrument that has intonation issues (as i tried to nicely point out to you back then) but they will get you very close and certainly to the point where other skilled and experienced musicians who DO notice poor intonation won't have to bust you on poor intonation.

soooo...no one complained at your swap meet that you were out tune? what exactly do you think that proves? that you WERE perfectly in tune???? hardly.

once again...none of this is being said to hurt your feelings, cut you down, and certainly it ain't out of any envy. you can take take that at face value or read into it whatever malice and bad intent choose to. 8)

it' s as simple as this....out of tune is out of tune.

wow...not to beat a dead horse, but i had to check out the bit in question.

duuuuude.....how could you post something like the "zep prct tune" w a guitar THAT badly out of tune? and THEN if that wasn't bad enough...you jump down Ted's throat for him calling you on that????

no....... really?

and then you have the chutzpah to toss around the term "genuine musicians"????

sorry, bro.....it wouldn't be a strecth at all to argue that "genuine musicians" don't post and share things w their instrument THAT badly out of tune.

I had to check it out, too, just now. AGHH! Dayne, tune that guitar. For a riff played down on the open strings and up through 4th fret, there should be no intonation problems, so its your tuning for sure.

#1 - I can do that Zep rip like it goes while singing it...since 1975. Maybe I'll show you what you're lacking when I go through Missouri next. Remind me, ok? But first.....

#2 - You have a tuner already??? Do you know how it works?
