For me it's 1 at a time, although I might go back and record an additional track to something I recorded before if I find I need to during mixing.
Last night I recorded 2 organ tracks (rhythm and lead) for the video soundtrack I'm working on. As I use a Casio Workstation for keys, I pick one of the built-in organ tones, then run it through PodFarm, using the Fender Rock Classic head (kind of a Bassman) with the drive up for some distortion, then into a Leslie speaker sim (low speed for the rhythm part, high speed for the lead).
Thus far, for me... I've got about 4 songs in the hopper at any given time right now.. I didn't plan it that way... If you are a one man show or its just you and a partner, each song takes a while (If you care to be meticulous) , cause you find that you get stuck on something or another...so, to break the tension and keep things fresh, its a good idea to jump onto another tune.
