A crotchety old professional guitar player is befriended by a successful younger amateur guitar player that the old fart can't avoid because he learns a little more each week from the man he can't stand. Old fart (we'll call him)Fredd, just can't find his way on his own. Professionally, he can't fill a venue the size of a phone booth, his other job- he can't get off the ground either, as he claims to be a pilot. Each episode, the younger-charismatic (Mann), is visited by the always insulting, never funny Fredd(2 Ds, blames his mother for the spelling and all his short-comings). Fredd keeps insisting they could make money as a duet, but the always forgiving Christian- Mann insists he only uses his gift for recreation, and his wealth comes mystically, and often, which frustrates Fredd. Fredd's insulting behavior is simplistically batted down into stupidity, and in the 22 minutes, they jam together. Mann shredds his guitar, Fredd plays rythm, and picks up a few pointers, which is only seen by the Son of Mann, despite Fredds efforts to try new ways of making a profit from their session, at the same time Mann is trying to make a prophet out of Fredd. Which leads us to the title of the show- "Profit To Prophet".
