Dude, you're in LA, how can you NOT find a vocalist? First of all, Bandmix sucks for finding people, I will tell you that right now. I like coming here because I've made friends and I like hanging with these guys. I've paid, I've sent out digital auditions and got like two responses, one didn't fit and the second I never heard back from.

Go out. I did a gig in Hollywood last night and there's musicians all over the place, in the audience. You need to network, meet folks. Go to auditions, they got the Music Connection online and it's free. Go to open mics in LA, there are singers out there who need producers, need studios. I know because we meet these people all the time.

That's the best advice someone could get, too.

Start heading the direction you want to go. Do the things that the person you want to be, would do. Sooner or later you will look around and see the people who are already going that direction and it will be like taking the training wheels off.

An object at rest tends to remain at rest, while an object in motion tends to remain in motion.

And to add, I was just at the X Factor auditions. What a place to find singers. I spoke with a number of people around me and three of them were clueless as to what to do and how to get started. I was giving phone numbers out of producers I know, cards for our recording studio and just other general advice. Find out where auditions are and work the line. There are plenty of singers out there who have no resources or don't know how to get started.
