It initially showed promise, but as with any other method, it still kept reaching career minded musicians.
Also I would not reccommend using Craigslist especially if you are just a guy looking for a friend. A lot of the musicians in my area on that site are TOO serious about putting a band together or looking for gigs, and most are into heavy metal, and hard rock, and indie rock and are ONLY in it to make money.
Any better ideas, Mike Nobody?
Well, if you've burned your bridges there, then there is not much I can do to help you online.
You could try changing your approach, maybe.
Be more specific on what you want or do not want.
You'll get fewer replies.
But, if everybody there thinks badly of you for some reason....then you're done on CL for awhile anyway.
There was another site I used before called My Band....something.
It was surprisingly effective.
But, they have ceased to service the United States.
It is entirely a UK operation now.
If you are looking for a friend, instead of just a bandmate, try hanging around the clubs.
Talk to the bands.
Someone might steer you where you wanna go.
You might even wanna put flyers on music store bulletin boards.
It's worth a shot.
