Has the religious right run everybody else off with their unrelenting barrage?

You know I'm a strong believer in numerology, but I don't express it in nearly every thought I write, it's as bad as the politic talking, no worse, cause then they mix it in with the politics.

Not near the music threads on here.

And no matter what u say about ur music playing style or ability, if you're not practicing and studying ur craft, from every angle daily, ur not getting any better, the more u know about anything the better u will b at it.

We ( the religious right ) call it TRUTH . . . if it runs people off it's because they are afraid to accept responsibility for their lives.

More likely the trash talking porn posting children of satan had the greatest affect.

But . . . until now . . . we were pretty much back to music.

I dont believe that "Your" version of the truth runs people off. I believe that people come here to talk about music and playing music. Mixing in politics and religion to a "SMALL" degree is understandable but if feel that people dont want to continually hear about it on a "Music/Band" website.
I myself have started to wonder if this site is for musicians with political and religious interests or a site for Politicians and Pastors that play guitar...!

be the change you seek.

instead of lamenting how few music threads there are....put one (or several) up yourself.

truth be told, even the three regulars (you know who you are) on here who bang the religious drum the loudest, regularly contribute to music threads ...as well as starting plenty on their own too.

be the change you seek.

There are no "versions" of TRUTH.

It simply exist, irrelevant of our fleshly wants, needs, and desires.

I will Jesus Christ to be the core of my existence.
He should be the reason for my every thought word deed and action.

Lynard,

After sex and partying, politics and religion are the topics most written about in music. Why wouldn't we talk about it if we are songwriters? And why is it ok to talk about your passion but not ok for someone else to talk about theirs? You can easily avoid the topics if you don't want to engage.

If you have a more interesting topic, please throw it out there. I'd love to discuss the issues of a professional musician, but that almost never comes up.

SO...what is our important topic, bro? Shall we discuss how much liquor you can handle before you forget who you are?

Lynard

Maybe you aren't keeping up - it's politics that's choking the forum. Us 'religious right' types don't come here to proselytize - but neither do we care to deny our faith in Christ.

As to the 'right?' NAZI is an acronym for National Socialist Workers Party. Much of what people call the 'right' in America are simply the right wing of the ruling Socialist party - Demo/Publicans.

Make mine individual freedom please! And a shot of Early Times!

I say talk about what ever you want. After all this is the general chat part of this forum right? This is a forum where you still have freedom to say what ever you want. We still talk music every now and again!

That's from a GREAT musician, a MAN of God that loves his family, and cares deeply about all his fellow men.

Thats all folks! :)

Perhaps it is only a exercise in self control, lynard. You know, learning to skip the threads that you aren't interested in as opposed to stopping other people from expressing their interests. Religion, love, and politics all inspire music to various degrees. After all, if no one participates in a thread it simply fades into oblivion. :)
