that's a FANTASTIC argument!

... to reign in the defense budget by at least $800Bil
... to stop the war on drugs, legalize and tax them.
... to repeal the citizens united decision
... for campaign finance reform, public funding ONLY.
... to tax derivatives and capital gains at the same rates everyone else pays for everything else
... to tax the rich even more!
... to invest in government spending on infrastructure
... to reverse privitization of all public services including schools, jails, law enforcement, military, and utilities.

Thanks for that Jeff, you bloody liberal !!

The only good obummer has done is increase the roll of NRA membership by 500,000 people in the last six weeks.

500,000 people in six weeks . . . yeah.

Not even Adolph himself accomplished that feat.

Since Obama isn't patriotic, it is he and the gun-grabbers who are paranoid.

I couldn't agree more- no more guns = no more gun violence :)

Being as that premiss is totally false and proven so over and over again all over the world.

You will have to do better that that.
Or continue to be completely non credible.

I guess I have to be nasty. Just talking about guns... Over 292 MILLION people... Innocent people... have been MURDERED... after espousing the same crap you do. 292 MILLION that believed their government was benevolent and protective. Then they were killed DEAD! THIS IS BACKED UP BY HISTORICAL FACT! You go learn it.

The whole LA pd is scared shitless because of one man. The whole kings army was destroyed because a few bold, brave, men that stood up and said enough is enough. This is the ONE thing that scares "PROGRESSIVES" THE MOST.
You are not going to change the rules of society that fast. OR... You may find many brave , armed , men that may or will not accept the changes that your vision leads us too.

You don't get it... You never will.

Would you stop with this paranoia crap. It is what it is. People such as your self have brought this on.

Paranoia. It is extractive interpolation of all the bullshit that is going on.

You are very fearful of people like me... I WILL CALL A COMMIE OR SOCIALIST OUT.

You call it paranoia... I call it TRUTH!

Noble men stick to the truth! Obviously you are avoiding it!

no guns = no gun violence.

Really????

Washington DC, murder capitol of the world. Also has some of the strictest gun laws in the country. More people murdered with guns in DC than anywhere else.

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB1000142 ... 69292.html

Pay close attention to the next to last paragraph.

Since the gun ban was struck down, murders in the District have steadily gone down, from 186 in 2008 to 88 in 2012, the lowest number since the law was enacted in 1976. The decline resulted from a variety of factors, but losing the gun ban certainly did not produce the rise in murders that many might have expected.

From an earlier paragraph, to put that into perspective

The gun ban had an unintended effect: It emboldened criminals because they knew that law-abiding District residents were unarmed and powerless to defend themselves. Violent crime increased after the law was enacted, with homicides rising to 369 in 1988, from 188 in 1976 when the ban started. By 1993, annual homicides had reached 454.

Down to 88 last year. If guns equal violence, how do you explain that?

DC gun laws -

In Washington, D.C., all firearms must be registered with the police, by the terms of the Firearms Control Regulations Act of 1975.

The same law also prohibited the possession of handguns, even in private citizens' own homes, unless they were registered before 1976. However, the handgun ban was struck down by the U.S. Supreme Court in the 2008 case District of Columbia v. Heller. The Supreme Court ruled that the Second Amendment acknowledges and guarantees the right of the individual to possess and carry firearms, and therefore D.C.'s ban on handguns was unconstitutional.

OK maybe Mexico...

Heard about all those killings by the drug cartels? Mexico gun laws are even stricter than in DC.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun_politics_in_Mexico

Are you really gullible enough to believe criminals will simply hand over their guns because the government decides guns are illegal? Not a chance. They're already criminals, do you think another law to break bothers them? Criminals love gun control. It means they get defenseless victims. They'll be more than glad to come in and rob you at gunpoint, they KNOW you won't be able to shoot back. Exactly why some crazy walked into a movie theater and started shooting. Exactly why they pick malls, restaurants, schools...not police stations or NRA meetings. Nobody will be shooting back...defenseless victims.

As I've said before, eliminating guns will not stop or even reduce violence. What do you think people did before guns existed? Ever read about Attila the Hun? Caligula? Vlad the Impaler? The Inquisition? Jack the Ripper? How many wars were fought before guns existed? Do you think violence suddenly popped up when guns were invented?

Eliminate guns, people will still kill other people, violence will still exist, that's been proven for thousands of years. 5,000 years ago humans used spears tipped with projectile points fashioned from rocks...for hunting game and killing other people. Are you going to start pushing for a ban on rocks now too? Baseball bats? Knives? Tire tools? hammers? I know, ban ROPES...people can hang each other with ropes.

And don't even think about telling me guns kill people. A gun is an inanimate object, it sits there and does absolutely nothing. Until a person pulls the trigger.

Ban stupidity. Now there's a ban I can sink my teeth into.

BAN STUPIDITY! Paleo... What a great idea.

Unfortunately you can ban 32 oz soft drinks... But... You may have come up with the one thing government has not regulated.

That opens a whole new world. Funny! Good thinking!

For those interested, 2nd amendment is not in existence to allow Americans the right to hunt. Although, it's good to be able to hunt if that's what you want to do. The right to bare arms exists in order to keep a potentially tyrannical government "in check". In other words, the American people can potentially form militias if the need presented itself. When Liberal pundits ask "why do you need a high capacity magazine"? I answer "none of your business"! It's my constitutional right! My guns aren't to hunt. They are to shoot people dead in order to protect my family from any threat that may put me or them in fear for their life. Would anyone ban alcohol again since drunk drivers kill people? How about bars that serve the booze? Do you ban heavy metal since some tweakers listen to it? Think about it. In Germany during the early 40s Hitler registered fire arms. Then went around and confiscated them. After that it was all down hill. Just sayin...

BTW - increasing taxes on the 2% (super rich company owners) will not do anything but cost jobs. As a small business owner I have to potentially lay off employees because of the Obama administration's policies. I am not one of the 2% BTW. In reference to the Kramer gentleman's increase Capitol Gains tax - you have to purchase the investment and you get taxed at the time you purchase it. You also got taxed on the funds you used to buy the investment. That's why Capitol gains are at 14%. Why is it that liberals hate wealthy people? Some wealthy people started out poor and just worked hard. If some liberals get their way no one will ever want to achieve anything because there is no incentive. Why try to earn larger profits? Comrade Obama will just tax it higher. Check out Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand.
