Alice Cooper is the only one I listen to.

Can you believe Rush is still not in the
Hall of Fame after a album like 2112?

The Beastie Boys. Living in NOLA you can't help but dig Dr. John.

I really liked Alice in the early days. They smoked. Liked some later stuff as well but it was often over produced. His first band made it for me.

Dr John? What can you say? I saw a vid of him doing "perfect day" with Lou Reed and Pavarotti and thought, damn that's good!

As he said on an NPR interview, "I had a drug problem for a while - heroin?"

"How long?"

"Twenty five years..." 8)

Glad you posted a list or I'd had no clue whom you were referring to.
Yes, it actually means that little to me.

To answer the question:

Yes, though most only influenced me to turn off the radio and curse loudly.

If you never listened to Chic, then you're missing out. Bernard Edwards was an awesome funk bassist. Find out where Duran Duran got thier sound, particularly John Taylor. Tony Thompson was a drum machine. Not a Kieth Moon type of player, but solid and funky. A lot of drummers could learn how to hold down a groove from him. Not saying he was great, but time was never an issue with him. IF you like Liberty Devito, Kenny Aronoff, or Max Weinberg, then Tony would be up your alley.
Nile Rodgers is a solid guitarist. He's not a shredder, but a rhythm player and has produced and backed up some greats. Like a Tom Morello, he's very under rated.
If you saw disco and then thought..ew, then you missed the point. You don't have to like the music so much, but listen to the players. Do some research and you'll see how some one you do like was influenced by them on some level.

Nope, not one of them. Idk, there's good music from that group, but none of it really had much of a direct impact on my creativity.
