There's been significant scientific research funded by U.S. taxpayers on experimental clothing that actually absorbs malodorous gases. They developed a charcoal-lined mylar pantaloon that is supposed to absorb enough flatus that test subjects either smelled little or no flatus. I'll attempt to put the link on here, forgive me if I have it wrong. I'm not good at this computer stuff: www.onara.co.jp/images/r-flatus-paper.pdf
After reading this thread I did some significant research to see if I can give you all hope that flatus odor control may be in our future...

It's not a question of fun. It's a question of being able to control excessive gas. I had an employee once who had a terrible problem with it. One time when he was travelling with his family they stopped at a Wendy's and he emptied the restaurant with his excess gas. I know a lot of people who at least need to change their diet, but if that isn't feasible there's hope that a charcoal lined Mylar pantaloon will do the trick...the necessary research provided by our wonderful Federal government...

I guess I'm kinda childish like that Bob.
You have to remember what I do or a living.
Humans are really all the same at that basic level you know.
The good thing is I can fart in the hall and blame the smell on the patients.

First rule of Nursing ... don't fart in the medication room.
