And for BOTH reasons, my heart is simply appealing to yours. The world is WORTH saving, because PEOPLE are worth saving. What I know, is that VERY DARK days, lie ahead, and it won't be politicians, scientists or businessmen reaching into the hearts of men... It will be poets, and philosophers, and songwriters. THEY will be the conscience the world will need, to move hearts, to heal wounds, to make people THINK, and to help them FEEL. Because God is the SOURCE of love, that message will be from the heart of God, and those messengers whether they understand it's source or not, will be the ones conveying the heart of love, forgiveness and peace, to those who are confused, angry and hurting.
The power of our talents, should not be underestimated. The written word is very powerful, and especially so, when it is carried upon melodies, whose sound waves, and vibrations LITERALLY pass THROUGH the bodies and beings of it's listeners.
People will often accept a message carried within a melody, much more easily and quickly, than someone screaming at them from a pulpit, or demeaning them in an op-ed piece.
Melodies, people accept instantly, and sometimes only later, realize the message it was carrying, but it is already in their hearts and minds by that time.
Don't ever underestimate the power we all hold, as artists and songwriters, for accomplishing GOOD in this world.
If, and I only say "IF" there was a thinking and purposeful force, which opposed a dying world finding light and love and joy... I would imagine it would be drooling over the prospect, that someone with your gift, would simply STOP BELIEVING in the potential for the hearts of mankind to change, and grow, and become what we are ALL capable of being... Caring, loving, unselfish... and faithful and hopeful, that there can be better tomorrows.
Just to STOP BELIEVING that things can change.
Just "THAT"
That would be enough, to render useless, one powerful force that could help mankind avoid such a fate. Where no one hoped anymore, and no one believed anymore.
Don't let that happen brother.
The world needs you!
And I say that from my soul, with all sincerity, because even if you only changed a FEW hearts by expressing your own heart, to others in this world... if they were changed... they will carry that hope with them, and share it with others.
And that -IS- how the world will change.
In fact, it is the ONLY way it has EVER changed...
