Thanks #1 for your kind words. Actually the songs on my profile are not the ones played on the radio; they were The Farleys songs "96 Eyes" and "Crooked Bitch". See The Farleys myspace.

CraigMaxim wrote:So, I think I owe you copyright credit for the lyrics. Yes, I know you aren't the first person to ever say "Happy Old Year" but had I not seen that comment, I might have just made it a song about New Year's RESOLUTIONS and left it at that, and THIS... THIS was MUCH better!

(snip)

So, when if and when I get around to (get money for) registering it, I would like your name to be on it bro. If you're cool with that?

If I'd been a part of the actual writing of this piece, Craig, I'd be proud to have my name on it. Let's face it, though - I really had nothing to do with it. As has been said, I'm not the 1st to have said the phrase, but I'm glad that my having said it inspired you. I don't feel my name should be on it. If you do, I won't tell you no, but I don't feel deserving of any credit on this one.

Good tune, though. I like the way you fit the lil rantish talky part in.

It wouldn't have come together like it did, without your inspiration. I definitely want to split the "lyric" part of the song with you, and I'll leave my name as writing the "melody".

I WANT you to be blessed through it, if something comes of it one day. I would be thrilled, if, financially, it helped you out personally one day.

That took a few takes, to fit it into that space close enough, so that the singing follows it in time correctly. LOL

But I have some compliments on it from MySpace and Facebook people, with some saying "Hey, there is alot of truth in that song actually!"

:-D

And alot of people seem to especially like the line...

"They say a glass of champagne will start your New Year's right...
But, I don't need a holiday to drink all night!"

;-)

Craig, I just got around to listening to it. I loved it! I'm amazed you can put together a song so quickly. You've got a talent for composing that I wish I could get my hands on.

Kudos.

Chris,

Thank you brother!

If I can ever help you on something, let me know.

Although...

I've got to finish songs for MARY and RYAN that we are collaborating on first!

Yes, I'm pretty creative and fast about it, but like Klugo said... I NEED TO FOCUS!!! I have musical ADHD!!!
