No, all we got was about three inches of rain, thunder, lightning, and tornadoes.
A lot of damage to Longview. None here thank goodness, though the weather service showed some "rotation" that passed within a few miles of our place here.

With all the traveling being done for the holiday season, I pray you all safe journey and returns.

Let us be careful out there folks.

I was wondering about you, talked to my mother and sis this morning, they got tornadoes in Lufkin and Nacogdoches, and said one hit not far from you right outside Carthage.

I was planning to head over there today but now I might wait till tomorrow, let this crap blow through here, it's hitting us today but so far nothing serious, just lots of rain.

Get ready for the cold front though, supposed to be upper 20's tonight...

I said to some store owner here a couple of weeks ago we'd get 4 feet of snow in Feb here in NJ. They laughed
It's not rocket science either. The Midwest has been pounded all year long by this and that hasn't it. It always heads eastward for a nor-easter eventually.

Keep safe if you are out that way people. Not nice at all from what I can see.

I love how we're getting rain and 40 degrees tomorrow. That's almost warm enough for shorts in Michigan.

I can beat that Jimmy.

The last 4 days bar 1 they have said it will be VERY cold. the outside Thermo says nearly 80! Snow is melting at an astonishing rate and hitting other roofs dotted about this place. Even the outside cats are preening themselves.

We are wind sheltered yes. But....

Anything below 65 is a little chilly down here on the Texas Gulf Coast. It rained like hell this morning at about 5:00 am and it is clearing now but very windy, you know one of those irritateingly windy days. I guess I'll have to braid the mullet!

BLIZZARD WARNING FOR KANSAS CITY NOW! New data and forecast, a major very dangerous blizzard for the Kansas City area, 10-14 inches of snow, winds tomorrow morning gusting to 50mph, temperatures at 10 degrees and DROPPING, DO NOT VENTURE OUTSIDE. This is UNBELIEVABLE! Never seen a forecast like this since I've lived here (1987). The storm is supposed to go just east of Kansas City, go up into Iowa, turn WEST into Nebraska, then turn southeast and come back through the Kansas City area. It looks like an inland hurricane on the radar. It's sucking all the moisture out of Arkansas and throwing it over the top of us into frigid air. I knew something was up around three hours ago when it started sleeting like crazy and the temps were dropping like a rock.... Be thankful you're not here tonight and tomorrow...

We actually go a little snow here yesterday. Not cold enough and the ground is too wet for any of it to stick.
Now I'm sick with a bad head-cold, body aches, and a low grade fever. :(

Merry cough cough hack sneeze Christmas ya,ll.
