Hello folks! First of all, I'm brand new, and I've been browsing the forums a bit, but haven't really found what I'm looking for.
I'm Rick in Indianapolis. I'm half of the folk do "Patchwork"..we do Appalachian, Celtic, Contemporary and Original folk music. I play guitar, hammer dulcimer, mountain dulcimer, tinwhistle, and a couple of other things. Holly plays fiddle and mando and we both sing.
I've been playing professionally since 1978...started as a pianist, then moved onto a bluegrass band, until finally finding myself in Patchwork.
We stay pretty busy during the warm months, but things drop off during the winter. We're looking for additional projects and opportunities.
Also, Holly is in pretty good local demand as a studio vocalist and violinist, so we're looking to expand her contact area also.
SO...should I create a seperate profile for each of these?
And, I'm looking for how you, who have been around for awhile, use bandmix! Particular successes? Disappointments?
I look forward to hearing your stories!
