Neither one does much for me as they wander in & out of key, seemingly aimlessly. Sorry, perhaps all my taste in in my mouth, but I didn't get much out of either performance.

Philby it's always about personal taste.

If you liked it, great, if not, that's ok as well.

I asked you what YOU liked.

My most favorited band that nobody ever heard of, broke up about a year ago :(

Here's their now defunct profile:

Who do you think is good?

Here the same song but much better playing ... I love Jim's (hammond) style.

I've never thought of Booker T as great hammond player but he did write some great classics

Sonny to me sounded great but William took it by miles,

Not just always about how you can bend a string, I preferred the band thang and how they got on and just did it.

I didn't really like either one but I did like the drummer in the first one.

Here's this dude Greg. I guess he sells guitars. But he just plays such awesome Blues stuff. I like checking out all the different guitars he uploads, but when I'm working on my own, I'll just let the playlist play through. Kinda like I did with Gentry.

.
Watch / listen to him play on the bottom video,
"Leo Kottke Does Mona Ray . . ."
.
There's about 3-4 different songs on that one video.
.
Caution - if you've been thinking of giving up playing, do not watch this video . . . consider yourself warned . . .

This man was better 30 years ago than I am today . . .

Kotke's one of those guys who seems to get very droney to me very quickly. It's nice to hear him get away from the 12 string once in awhile, though.

You ever get into any of Tony Rice's stuff, Alan?

Kudos to the people that provided a link..

It really wasn't between 2 choices, but more to get you to post a link so I could check out what YOU like...

Very interesting though thus far in any case..

And Leo is cool, although seems busy even for a 12-string, no>?

But that's the beauty of it, considering everyone likes different things..
