Is the future of the music industry leading towards a day when music is *mainly* a supplement to other forms of media (such as video games, movies, commercials, tv, other advertising, etc.), or do you think that buying songs/albums on their own will see more of a resurgence? Will the music fan of tomorrow see the value in purchasing music on it's own merits?
Basically, do you think album/song sales will ever go up again, or is it time to accept the fact that the main way to make a living in music is to write/record for other purposes?
btw, Hello all, I'm new to the board
