a friend of mine has an old stratocaster with the fender wrote in sphagetti script he's trying to find out what it's worth, it's one of those sunburst ones
, i'm gonna see if he will take 500 for it. he says it's got light wear.
500 sounds like a good price for one that old. who knows what it might need?

You can get a Squier for less, and I'll wager sounds better as well.
Old guitars can hide many evils to the untrained eye. Be very critical in your assessment.

If that strat has a regular old trem/bridge setup and is either a US or a Jap strat, 500$ is a good price.

(I always remove pick guard and take a careful look at the pickups)

The other pickups have a distinctive look on bottom that can clue you in to where and when they belong to.
