Nothing wrong with squier guitars. no need to go into all the diffrences between them and a usa fender strat, the price for one, but they do all
you need em to do, especially if your giging, cause it doesn't matter if you throw it at your amp or drag it around. easy to replace. the deville is a cool amp pretty much like a super reverb with a few more features.
if you really want a sound machine that will bust your speakers, get a
hiwatt schematic and build one for half the cost of a new one. i wish those
engl amps were not so expensive.

The difference between squiers and reg strats, etc. is an old thread.

And a good one as well.

Due to my pending move next month, I had to quit my band and shrink my rig.
I was using 4 4x12 Marshall Cabs pushed by a JCM800 2203 head and JCM800 2203X Reissue head.
I sold all of that and put together a more compact rig.
1 MESA Boogie Mark IVb medium head and a 2x12 vertical Rectifier cab.
I also changed out pedalboard setups from a Boss GT-8 based system to a Line 6 M13 based board.
There is also a small rack that has my compressor & Hush that run in the FX loop of the Mark IV.

Time will tell...although this vertical 2x12 cab is oversized and only about 5"x7" smaller than a Rectifier 4x12, it doesn't have as much bottom end as a 4x12.

For ease, weight and compact-ness, I may have sold myself short.
It was a necessity though, as I have too much stuff to move.

The way I justified it was that the majority of gigs I have been doing, backline was provided, so I would just bring my head and use whatever cabs were there.

Worst case, I can always pick up a used 4x12 if needed once I get settled up in Albany and get in another band.

Get the Decimator instead. It's pricier, but the best noise reduction system I've ever used. And I've used a couple Rocktron models (and I LOVE Rocktron gear)
