That is a great story, especially where your originals turn out to be a big hit. What an outstanding reflection on your band...Y'all might be onto somethin' stick with it, man.

I"ve been stick'in with it for thirty years. I'm hop'in this new band sticks together. I can't do anything without good accompaniment. Bands that stick together for YEARS are the ones that succeed. Music ages like fine wine, OVER TIME. Too many people come and go in bands and then they wonder why things don't work out. I've been playing some of these originals for almost twenty years. We never had a problem putting them in with the covers. If you've got good material and it all blends together than it doesn't matter whether you perform originals or covers. Bands should play the songs they like regardless of who wrote the songs. If the band members are happy with the repertoire it rubs off on the audience. Enthusiasm on stage is the most important factor in putting on a good show IMO.

Great story!

Love it when a gig works out that well. Especially when it seemed it could go another way at first.

Keep rockin' the masses brother!

I'm really happiest playing in small venues. If I rock the masses it'll be on the internet or indie CD production. But I'm always going to play the small clubs. I'm just one of the blue collar people we played to the other night. Nothing special about me. I wore my Bass Pro Shop T-shirt, baeball cap, levis, the same outfit as everybody else (minus the cowboy hat). People have always respected me because I'm just one of them...
