I like prog as much as the next guy, but holy sandwiches, that song was about 5 minutes too long lol.

Cool as hell, I was waiting and waiting for a full-on drum solo...

I like this. Tnx, Prevost.

#1 - yep, MUCH better than midget wrestling, but howzabout midget strippers?

We keep trying to get the local pub to bring them in for one night. They have the perfect bar set up for littler strippers...heh heh heh...low ceiling, high ber, good lighting...yep, it's got it all, but only for those height-fully challenged types!

:D

I think she amazing for her age ... not to hard to look at either. She is studying privately with Paul Wertico from the Pat Metheny Group as well as finishing her Bachelors in Music Performance/Jazz emphasis.

Keith .. yea it's long ... but they go though so many proggessions and time sig's that I don't think it would sound as good if it was shorted up JMHO

You speak as if you knew her personally.
Do you indeed know her. Or informed by research?
Just currious, not that it really matters.

Thanks for sharing this with us. This kind of stuff usually bores me but this definitely held my interest all the way through. I wish my drummer would get a new set of drums. The drum set she was playing sounded awesome, especially the cymbals, and she KNEW what she was doing. Sooner or later there's going to be a supergirl group of absolutely top notch musicians, drums, bass, lead guitar, etc. There's a young woman here in the K.C. area who KICKS ASS on lead guitar AND vocals. She plays with a number of different blues bands in town. She's 20 years old and is a knock-out to look at. The next guitar hero might be a woman, it's going to happen...

I remember in the 80's they WANTED a female guitar hero in the worst way...

So who did they prop up? Lita Ford.. good looking, to a point, but only mediocre on guitar at best. What killed me was how they "sold" her (at first) as a fanatic on guitar, and when everyone realized she wasn't all that, they then pinned the sex symbol brand on her.

Hell, the chick from Vixen was better looking and a better guitarist...

But Bonnie Raitt would destroy them all, and sadly dis-qualified because of her looks (and age)

heres one for you, check them out...They use to be a great deal more prog then they are now, but, either way, the music is freaking awesome. Give it a once through and post what you think.

Damn, the amazing thing about this drummer is she is only 19 years old. Can anyone say (Prodigy) She reminds me very much of my favorite drummer Mike Portnoy. Her playing style is very similar to his.
