Sorry Royale but if you are making money off adding new members it is a Pyramid Scheme plain and simple

You can call it whatever you want, its still a pyramid scheme.

I wish you luck, but thats not my cup of tea.

Where do you play over that way so the next time Im in Hot Springs I can check your band out?

You guys crack me up. It is not a pyramid scheme. I am licensed in the State to do business. The State Attorney General Office has approved my company. A pyramid is illegal in all states. A pyramid is where no product is sold. People put in money and move up an imaginary ladder in which those at the top make the money and the poor soles at the bottom are left holding the bag. I sell a product. I sell a year's worth of lessons from over forty years of experience that teaches bands how to market themselves in today's atmosphere. I simply pay out a %50 commission to anyone who refers this to others. I then teach them how to use this money, which is only short term, to make the recordings that they do not have the money to produce. If a band really wants to make a splash they have to have some cash. I would not presume to try and wrestle some money out of a group of kids for my own well being, regardless of what Mr. metal band want-a-be says. I have enough money for the rest of my life. I am 59 and had my first band at 19, real band not garage, and everybody I ever played with has been committed to the music business and not just some neighborhood hero.

Sorry jw, I forgot to acknowledge your question. We only play about a half a dozen times a year now. Martin, the drummer, is on the road with Vince Gill for about another two months. Butch is the resident steel guitar on The Opry, Gary who plays bass is trying his hand at producing in Nashville, Terry just finished playing steel on Reba's new album which is the first in six years, Dennis is teaching piano of all things and Wayne is playing sax as a studio musician. We do make it a point to play and will be doing a New Year's Eve deal in Dallas. And I think we have one other in the works in Feb.

The various Cosa Nostros enterprises are also licensed and approved as is every insurance company (reads: protection racket) in the US. This fact proves nothing about the intent of your business.
I,ve been reading along, and I have no doubt about your good intent for musicians nor about your intent to profit. Nothing wrong with that. Free country and all.
But it's fairly obvious that most if not all the Forum contributors are not interested in being involved your business affairs.
May I suggest you post some music and we just move along?

I think most of us on here are weekend warriors and use our day jobs to supplement our playing.

Thanks for sharing and welcome to the forums.

Sharing what?? JW?? He has nothing up and his first posts are to solicit $$$ from us... no matter how you look at it. He could be that ACE or REV dude under another guise! I fukkin' hate when peeps first posts are all about them making money off of you.... he don't give a flying fuk about helping you... he's just trying to advertise for free.. Here's a thought... ANYONE WHO IS HERE TO SOLICIT FUNDS IN ANY WAY, BE IT AN OLD OR NEW MEMBER WOULD HAVE TO PAY SPONSOR FEES IN ORDER TO DO SO!

I'm getting sick of these freakin' posts that send you to another link claiming they've got the answer to all your fukkin prayers...for a substantial fee...

Crip don't come often, but he always comes real!

Repeat after me: CONFLICT OF INTEREST. Anybody posting on Bandmix with the express purpose of selling anything, even if it's music related, has a conflict of interest and their post should be immediately terminated. That's all...

I dont mean to go against the grain here. But, if a legitimate business did show up here that could possible help someone on here gets the reception everyone gets why would they hang around.

Maybe a guy like this has some lessons that might benefit someone. If hes selling a true lesson then he is selling something music related. Why would someone selling music related services not come on sites like this to advertise.

I dont think Royale had anything I want, but he may be serving someone.

We might be running the real deal out the door sometimes and not even know it.

I do think they should put their solicitations in the want ad section so you know htey are selling something not in the general forums disguised as your buddy.

It's a pyramid scam. You can call it an "affiliate" program, but it's really a pyramid scam. It's right there in the description.
