I dunno Kramer, that guy does have more interesting chops, but the 1st guy sounds faster to me at the very last part of his session. (@320 bpm)

I'd rather listen to a tasty Sammy Lawhorn solo any day of the week than that sh*t.

This shows a virtuousity that is completely lost on me. After awhile, all I hear is the pick click, cuz there just isn't time to let a note ring long enough for my slow old headbone to distinguish one note from the next. Well, okay, perhaps it isn't really that bad, but all I can say is "why?"

You simply cannot put any type of feel into something you're stuggling that hard to keep up with. Even if you could, your audience would be struggling so hard to keep up that it would be lost on them.

Ot's nice that he can do it & all, but for me it's like NASCAR - lots of speed that doesn't take you anywhere. I quit doing speed back in the 70's.

Can he deliver a good vibrato? (That one always escaped me) Can he play melodically, or do the on the spot improvising at an open mic, or gimme a brand new tune to listen to & enjoy its unique melody? I doubt it, cuz all his time hasta be spent keeping these skills up, but who knows? He might be able to wow me in other areas, too.

lol That guy is not good.
He sounds like a clean piece of plastic.

IF YOU MUST LISTEN TO THIS NONSENSE<TRY THIS NEXT GUY.

I don't dig it, but I know people who do.

Damn, Cap! I just wish the vid was better so I could SEE him playing all that stuff on that bisexual axe. That was much more impressive to me than simple speed, though. You're quite right.

He did kinda remind me of Heman & the Masters of the Unisex when he kept holding that weird axe up like he did. LMAO

I didn't say that I like this stuff, I just said that I get a kick out of it. It's novel, and if you can do a double-guitar thing like the last guy, I'm sure that you will have people banging your door down throwing money at you to play at their places. I wouldn't mind having that kind of speed available to use (sparingly) for accenting a song now and then. I agree that pure speed is just dullsville, man  Kinda like a 700 horsepower car, running it flat-out all the time (continuing the car analogy) and not taking time to listen to that engine idling, and how sweet it sounds.
