It may be true,All the top E strings from major manufacturers may be infected. recent govt inspections of guitar strings suggest major tax breaks for companies that allowed individual unhindered inspections of their product.

I agree with you Phil. I believe the whole SF thing is a natural occurence.
I also know that vaccines manufactured for viral infections that readily mutate are useless. But just think of the money we can make! Scare the she it out of people and sell them useless vaccines? Thats a better idea than using tax dollars to sell Toyotas !!

Natures way? If you mean that things can occur due to natural or understood circumstances, then yes, that happens. If you mean nature plans genocide on purpose, that is ridiculous.

You know more about medical related issues than I do, so...

Is it not possible to engineer a deadly flu, by combining various strains of flu? I already understand that you don't believe that occured here, and I don't know whether it did either, but is it possible?

Why I would suspect this of occuring as an act of terrorism, is the unusual nature, of it being THREE DISTINCT types of flu, that are all together, and also the fact that it spread from Mexico. It would be easier I think, to spread something through Mexico, and get it into the U.S. that way, knowing that illegals from Mexico are coming in and out of the country at will. I also "think" I see a rise in cases of salmonella poisoning in our food sources, especially from other countries, than previous decades. Maybe we are just importing more food that before? But I don't ever recall such re-occuring incidences of mass salmonella outbreaks, so many times each year. Year after year. Like has occured over the last 3 to 5 years.

Oh yes, I believe it is very much possible. Only the lack of a controlablity factor as you have alluded to before, would be a reason it has not possibly ( who knows for sure) been done already. Although, I have some souces in my past whom were of family relation to CDC higherarcy, they claimed the HIV escaped goverment testing in Africa. ( I know we have all heard this before but this was many many years ago I was told this, long before it became the common urban legend. )
Though if you consider the monitary ends over actual genocide, A less virulent strain is much more appropriate than say a variation of Ebola Zaire or Haunta Virus of the American southwest.
Virus have either the RNA or DNA ( I forget which one ) and uses the other half of the genetic sequence of it's host in order to replicate.
It therefore has the theoretic possibility to mutate to some degree with each host, carrier / victim.
The swine flu you have is not the same as the one your child brought home to you from school. It is unique to you.
Of course this is an oversimplified example, but well within theory.

There have been a few cases in my area. In fact there were three kids where my kids go to school. I guess the original problem was they didnt know what it was. Now that its been identified hopefully it can be controlled.
