What a stunning and professional piece! Interesting title too since most would name it something in the realm of Lord of the Rings or some etho title regarding elves.

Lovely, lovely piece!
Now I feel stupid again. :D

Great Mary, another please.

Oh Chippy, I thought you heard it. I am hoping to find some way to upload the final cut. If you like this sample, you will love the final cut. Plus, guys, this is going to be featured in the alumnus concert at my former community college. I will post this just in case any of you, should happen to be in the area.

Mary's throwin' a pop-quiz on us!

Craig, this is so easy...even you cavemen can figure it out. Now think -coffee- when you listen to this. Don't think af anything else but the joy of coffee drinking. Now if you do not drink coffee and revel in its scent or the process of preparing it, you might not get it. But if you love fresh gound coffee, you should understand immediately what the rainstick represents. :? Try again.

Coffee beans of course.

But why do you just GIVE it to us? We were thinking that already, but were afraid to be wrong. LMAO

But the best "tell" about you, came in the first line:

"Even you cavemen can figure it out"

And you know, I almost... ALMOST... included in my last response:

"Now Mary, you just like being the main female here, and then showing us men up, don't you?"

LMAO!

You answered that one already! ;-)

Mary just bides her time, and when the moment is right, just has her way with us, doesn't she? ;-)

Bwaaaahhh. Yep you are right. Coffee beans!!! Nothing elaborate but I wanted there to be an understanding of the rainsticks implication. I want my listeners to be transformed by the music not just listening to it. Isn't funny how when I get y'all in touch with your caveman side...You get the answers.

What I was really after was the spark of imagination. The rainstick isn't there for the purpose of sound...it had another purpose. Also, when you hear the final cut, if I can get that to happen, you will see that I am using the character of the guitar in my arrangment. What I mean is there is no note that is clipped off. When a guitar string is plucked the sound reverberates ever so subtly and that is what I am attempting in this piece. When I rehearse it with my students, I remind them of what instrument we are immitating. Anyhoo, good job Craig, you win the prize.

LOL @ Neanderpaul!!!

Mary,

I LOVE your approach to music and composition, to add another layer of depth, by using symbolisms and meanings one needs to look for, or perhaps little unexpected surprises to be found in the music, it takes it to a whole other level.

It's both beautiful and brilliant!

Keep surprising the world!

Thanks Craig, I look forward to that music you plan on sending me.
I am also a perosn who loves stories. The story often guides the compsition, not the other way around. That is why I like working with Billy Mac;s music...I know so many of the stories that went into writing them. But seriously, I do indeed want to put some flute accompaniment to anyone of you who is interested. I promise it won't take long.

It is a shame we have to shrink our files sooo much to get them on here.
But such is life.

Thanks again for the music!

I hope that your wife and sone enjoy this arrangement too.
