Any of you into that? I really like the Corel Video Studio Pro X2, but I’m also looking for other great software…any suggestions?

This is a little stupid video that I’ve made, to try out the Corel Video Studio. I like the overlapping feature!

Don’t laugh at me, too hard…haha: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x9hiimhfWxM&feature=player_embedded

Cool Dave!

I really like the split screen. Shows all your talents together.

I LOVE video work, but I can't afford good software or high end cameras right now. :-(

thanks! Any digital camera that has video, will do the trick. As for software, some of them are free and Windows even has one (MovieMaker). It is not the best, but it is how I started. If you don't mind the P2Ps, you could torrent some!

Or, I could give you a copy of what I have

I use Windows Movie Maker now. And another freebie I found before.

Not bad at all for free.

But I'm way ready to move beyond it.

I use a Zoom recorder to do the audio at shows, and use a cheap digital viedo camera for the video, then edit them together. WMM crashes occassionally though, well, it hasn't on Vista yet.

Go Sans!

Why not make it fun, once you get the hang of it?

Record the band from various angles, rather than just record a gig straight through from the same angle.

Record your audio, or use the demos you have made. Whatever you use, audio wise, play that out loud on a boom box so the timing is right, and play in a field (act it out to the music) play on a roof, play in the street, whatever. Get your family and friends to act out some roles to the song, and mix that in, with you guys playing.

Why not have a blast, and try and get as close to a professional video as you can? Put it on YouTube and invite everyone to check it out. Good attention getter, and maybe you start getting more requests for gigs or church functions!

Can't wait to see what you do!

I wanted to do something like that for my band, but I was so busy with everything else, and already had them practicing twice a week, so it was hard enough getting them all together for professional promo pics, let alone a day for video production.

Sounds like fun!

For sure it does not take long for a guy to over commit himself.
Too many irons in the fire means none of em gethot enough to brand.

Something smells like burning cow rump. :(

Man, you should check out my little brother, who lives in Saint John. He's on facebook under peter kent taylor. He does funky old school rap and plays many instruments. You two should connect.
