On the U2 cover I got a bad review from everybody here (my only song here to get bad reviews). But go check out the comments on the video. Only positive comments like this one.... "Dude they should use you in the ad for Boss. This blows away their demo " :D 2069 views, 18 ratings and 4.5 stars.

I'd have to read what they all said, but bro, two points:

1) You are still good at your worst. WE KNOW THAT, they may not. I expect brutal honest advice from the guys here, and I get that from them, and I know you want the same.

2) People are so impressed by your looping skills, that it will leave a very positive image of your work, even when it can be improved upon.

I dug the harmonies! :-)

What I need to do, is send you some other stuff and let you play with it. I would be honored to collaborate on something.

Craig I finally had some time to check out your music, great job! Very well produced, nice arrangements and vocals. I would have liked more guitar and less keys on "All We Know" but that's just me. Very cool!

Holy Crap!

They should give you a Bandmix membership for life!

I'm not even joking!

And hopefully we'll meet one day. You should play your way to Georgia sometime. Or who knows? Maybe I'll be fortunate enough to work my way North!

What I would really love to do, if I were rich, is fly up and lock ourselves in a studio for a week, and see what happened!

Thanks Jimmy!

I think that song needs work. I'm not pleased with all the backing instruments. It may have been better to spend more time and find the best ones.

I kind of rushed that song, and wrote and recorded it in a single night, to get it done before my wife came home. I wanted to surprise her with it.

It has too much chorus-effect sound to it.

And Paul was right about doing more to build and support the first chorus. I may have to re-do it. Cause it can be better.

But thanks for the compliment!

I am actually supposed to be playing my way to ATL. I may be doing that in September. Perhaps we could throw something together in your studio?
:D
Throw me some material. Maybe I will throw you some.

Locked in a studio with you?!! Shoooot. Between the 2 of us things could get really listenable really quick.

It was really cool meeting these guys. Every single one of them is special, talented and a valuable member of this forum.

Craig,
Sorry to say that I have yet to find the time to check out your new songs on my space. .....

however,

I did give that train tune on your profile a listen and am truly impressed with your vocals!
I have been an admirer of your songwriting skills since your "Mischief"days.

I'm currently hanging sheetrock in our new house, so my computer time is very limited. I was glad that I took the time to give ya'll a hearing. :D

By the way, did I hear a bit of harmonica in that song? 8)

later,
John
