Aw, no way man, I love that guitar lick. I'd take that over shredding on pointy guitars any day

Fair winds to one of the original teeny punkers, Sky Saxon.

Check him out back in 67.....

Good stuff. I remember that one too. Hate to hear of all these people passing. Funny how they weren't shy about lip-sinking back then (no mics, no guitar cords). Also I remember the camera guys back in those days coudn't figure out who was playing the solo and where to point the camera. They'd just always point at the lead singer's instrument..

RIP Sky Saxon.

I guess you had to be there. The 'British (Music) Invasion' of the '60s was a lot more than just the music. It was a movement. A liberation of non-conformity.

I'm with Dajax, Howlin' and Z. I loved the Seeds, with The Count Five and The Syndicate of Sound they laid down the foundation of garage rock that is still an influence today. If you like this stuff get the Nuggets collection, every cool tune from the garage/invasion period.

I just posted our cover of Syndicate of Sound's "Little Girl" on www.myspace.com/thefarleys - it's at the bottom of the player. That's Scott Asheton (The Stooges) on drums. Garage bands don't suck, they just smell like the lawnmower.

Well if we're on the topic of garage rock bands, I was always partial to The Standells, and I don't even live in Boston.
