I wouldn't answer it, either. It does indeed look exactly like what it is - a PO'd guy almost giving up & daring anyone to be the wrong guy. LOL

Ya know - I AM a PO'd guy who's jaded & fed up...but I really shouldn't advertise that fact. I know better, but it was fun to vent again.

I'm getting really good at that venting thing.

I really should get out there more & meet more ppl...it's kinda hard right now with my schedule & lack of income. This is starting to suck.

But I swear the next guy that starts to put me through that tuning by ear crap is gonna get a "thanks, but no thanks" right off the bat. I won't even bother to listen to another moron that does that stuff. I can't stand it anymore, & I won't use up the little patience I have left on it.

heh heh heh
Yeah, tuning by ear sounds even better when the band members all smoke and drink in moderation...

Aw, c'mon bob! I honestly don't see where one beer every hour & a half, with a cigarette, is such a huge problem at practice. That's usually the way it works with us. We work awhile, then have a smoke & a beer at break time. It's not been a problem for us, or with me at any practice with any group. The bluegrass band I was in had a jar of moonshine that they'd pass around in between songs, & it didn't seem to interfere. (I often passed on that, though, cuz it's a bit strong for my constitution.) With TFRB, we don't smoke when we're playing or practicing. We go outside to do that. We work on stuff for a minimum of an hour, usually longer, & relax a little when we take a break. The smoke & beer are just social enhancements, & we don't always drink beer. The drummer doesn't drink at all, but he always has a few beers for us at his house, when we practice. I won't be a nazi about any part of anyone's personal stuff until it interferes with the work at hand.

I,ll have a beer now and again when we practice, but thats just me.
I smoke a cigar now and again when we practice, but I cant do it while I actually am playing (hate to get eye hits). It comes down to what works for the group I guess.

LOL I watched my buddy play with the "cool cigarette" stuck in the top of his headstock, in the strings. And it was cool, until this funny smell like burning wood was coming through..

We were like, "now what do you suppose is that?" until he checked his foto-flame finish..LOL

Now it really "IS" foto-flamed.. lol

I was in a band once that had a bunch of loose cannons in it and the leader made everyone sign a contract and damn if they didn't find loop holes. My point is no matter what you do or plan and lay things out in the open people are people and there is always going to be one person that freaks out in the band. Then you have to cut their arse loose and go thru all the trouble of finding the "right replacement". After doing this for the past 5 years that is why I am ready to take a break. Untill I find the next band.

I was in this band one time, a real tight buncha guys. The band leader had this psycho wife who liked to sleep around. He loved & took great care of all her kids. Later on, it turned out the lead player was the father of one of her kids, but he'd never taken any responsibility for the child. He'd been living at the bandleader's house for over 5 yrs, rent-free, & allowed the man to take care of his kid without ever saying anything about it. The truth came out, as it is wont to do, & that was the end of that. It gets way more complicated than that, but this was the gist of it all.

I'm glad I am quite a bit more loyal & trustworthy & responsible & honorable than that guy was. (At least I like to think of myself that way.)

If people didnt act and live the way were used to seeing [ STUPID ] the whole world would be BORING . Im hoping we all find the musicians we need in this lifetime.

If not I look forward to jamming with Sans in Heaven!

And its another day in Paradise !!!
