I had a busy week as well. Wednesday & Thursday I charted and learned 30 songs (2 sets) for a Friday night show (concert setting), Juno winner singer. Friday afternoon I had a run through the material with the singer and the other players (all sidemen) and corrected any mistakes.

Saturday morning I review 40 songs for a show that night (dance venue, funk, rock), loaded my gear (Hammond & Leslie and piano) and drove 3 hrs and set up, played the gig, packed up and headed home at 1 am (3hr drive), got 5 hrs sleep.

Sunday morning reviewed 30 songs, which I had previously learned the week before, for a show Sunday night with well know Jamaican singer (concert venue, funk & reggae) 1 ½ away. Drove to the venue set up and played the gig, packed up and was on the road back home by midnight. Monday got my brain to work again.

Thursday, worked on new songs for Church by day, rehearsed with my new band from 6:30 p.m. til midnight. Friday worked on equipment, got it all together and loaded in my van. Worked on songs for Church. Got up Saturday made sure I had all the cables needed (again) went to Paris, AR by noon and unloaded and set up PA and lights for wedding reception my old band Rat Sass was playing that evening. Left out at 2:15 p.m drove to Russellville, AR with guitar and effects pedal, got to Valleyfest at the river park at 3:15 to be ready to set up and play with new band, On The Verge, from 4:15 to 5:30. Played that set and loaded back up and went back to Paris by 6:30 for soundcheck. Played from 7:00 p.m til 11:00 and then tore down equipment, loaded up and got home a little after midnight. Worked on Church songs some more, went to bed about 2 a.m. woke up at 4 a.m. and worked on Church songs until 6 a.m. got ready and loaded guitar, effects and amp and went to the Church at 7:30. Set up equipment and rehearsed some and started playing first service at 9 til 10, 30 minute break and played second service from 10:30 til 11:30, went home and crashed with the immortal words of Danny Glover running thru my head, "I'm gettin' too old for this sh*t!" :)

You guys have some very demanding schedules layed out. Seems being a muso is a lot like being a painter (or other type of construction contractor) you got to work when the work is avaiable, and go hungry when it aint.
