You can have feedback. You don't have to wait until the album is pressed.
My brother-in-law, during the writing and recording of his two albums, was constantly soliciting feedback from a close knit group of friends.
Feedback can be an important part of any creative process. Stephen King, for instance, always has his wife, Tabitha, read his first draft manuscripts in their entirety. He usually has a close knit group of people who trusts who has has read second drafts and give him feedback. When he wrote "From A Buick 8" he had a state patrolman read the manuscript to check for inaccuracies (since the book was about a state patrol troop and a very strange car).
If you value feedback then find a way to get it.
