We recorded the harmonica ("G Harp") last night; got several tracks to choose from. Give me a day or so.
And I'll find out when I can add female vocals.

The harmonica is mixed.
Also, I recorded female harmonies to replace my falsetto. This is the same girl that was being insulted in Spring Song. Different style of music.
And I added some counterpoint vocals too.
I'll probably be adjusting volumes here and there for another week, but this song is pretty close to done . . .

I like it! .. (and I usually don't like this kind of music.) :D
I only heard a couple of small spots that the female harmony accompanyments could use a bit of touching up.
Good song!

Sorry to be getting in late with the critique. This is a VERY GOOD song. This reminded me of the Mamas & Papas, if they had ever done a jazzy blues song this would be it. Your voice is excellent and blends well with the ladies. It wouldn't hurt you at all to sing more.

"Half Jazzed Blues" I can see as going over great live.

But what really got me on your page was "Bum-bum Padum". That hit me just right...nice breaks, nice groove. Would like to hear you vocalize over that... :D

Same here. It's my favorite. I was listening to it and thinking, add some slide, congas, Tower of Power horn section and the right vocals and you'd have Little Feat. And I mean that as a huge compliment. Little Feat is a great band and that song has their groove. :)

Yeah, that's what I was "hearing" too. Can you imagine? That would smoke...

<edit> Well, I wasn't thinking slide & congas, but horns and that Feat groove.

The harp adds a nice lil touch. Her voice works nicely with yours on this. If you cut a minute, somehow, it'd be better, imho.
